We understand that we have the holy spirit within us, not that we are pregnant with Him. Again, here we have an example of people believing in a literal manisfestation when it is a spiritual one. I don't see it as making it into a literal manifestation, but instead it's using new or different symbolism, while trying to include additional understanding of Mary's role in it all. It's not like mothers carry babes in their stomachs.
