1Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array.

10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

“The official position of the Roman Catholic Church is that Roman Catholic Womenpriests has no connection “whatsoever” to the church, nor do its ceremonies have any relationship with the church’s sacraments.”

This journalist is either very biased or very stupid.
It’s not the “official position”, it is reality.
In the old days, they would admit that and become another denominition. She doesn’t ‘love’ something if she defies it and undermines it openly. This group are rebels, and would be called heretics in another age.

“During the Reformation, Roman Catholic priest Martin Luther believed the church should be returned to the people, but his struggle resulted in his expulsion from the church and his formation of the Lutheran Church.

The difference between Luther and women like Bouclin and Fresen is these women have no intention of leaving the church, said Gagne. They are “profoundly Catholic and they want to stay Catholic. They don’t want to join the Anglican or the United Church.””

Why not? I can go to the local big house and demand they become vegetarian, or I can go next door and have a veggie meal at the veggie diner. Why the need to destroy the existing order of things?

Big deal. I am getting crowned Empress of the Lone Isles, Queen of Whatever May Come and 56th Duchess of Cadbury Chocolate. Plus my cat just gave birth to six muffins in my unused oven.

I'm reminded of Abe Lincoln's quiz question ...

"Counting the tail as a leg, how many legs does a horse have?"

"Hmmm, five, I suppose."

"Wrong. The horse has four legs. Counting a tail as a leg doesn't make it one."

She obviously doesn’t love it enough to be obedient.

At the risk of getting Catholics angry with me, this development springs from the ambiguity in the liturgical churches about the facticity of "religious truth."

Is "religious truth" at bottom factual, like all other truth? Or is it "profound" and symbolic and illustrated by rituals and symbols? If the latter then no ancient text need be consulted since ever newer and more "relevant" symbols may communicate symbolic truth just as well as the older ones.

Liturgical chr*stians love to call Fundamentalist Protestants "logical positivists" for believing that religious truth is just that--true. The alternative is to remove "religious truth" from the real world altogether into a world of symbolic/ritual responses to some basic human psychological need. Naturally people think they can amend the rituals and texts, since they don't apply to the "real world" anyway and even the old dogmas are interpreted as something other than factual.

Doesn’t this woman look like the hostess of the TV program “The Weakest Link” Think there’s other connections to the program as well.
