Plea for the 'Transgendered'
By ANDY NEWMAN
Published: December 2, 1996

Excerpt:

People who do not identify with the sex they were born into are lobbying Rutgers University for protection against discrimination and harassment, The Associated Press reported yesterday.

Rutgers has forbidden discrimination on the basis of sex and sexual orientation since 1981. But members of the school's ''transgendered'' community, which includes transsexuals and transvestites, want explicit protection. ''This isn't about my sexual orientation,'' said Ben Singer, a female-to-male transsexual graduate student. ''It's about my gender identity.''

If this is the same Andy Newman, then the bishop had better act quickly. They live in Concord, MA. Anyone know who is their bishop?

-------
That is the issue in a nutshell "people who do not identify with the sex they were born into". Those people are at war with their own gender, indeed their very being. They do not and cannot, until they become congruent with the sex they were born into, model normal human nature. Every child deserves that type of modeling in their gr owning years.

I do not want to hear that all people are abnormal. That is so true, but there is abnormal and abnormally abnormal and although we should not condemn such problems ridden people, we should condemn the movement to call them acceptable ways of being.
