The surgery has been a blessing so far. I am touched with all the prayer. I guess I said that.

I don't think they let third order Dominicans do anything much. It's just a higher (lower?) level of pray, pay, and obey.

But you know I'm all about excuses. One thing I loved about my goat-milking days was there is NO answer to,"Sorry, I have to leave now, I have to go milk the goats." And if they let me in to the third order, I can say, "Sorry, I just have to go to Mass now or they'll take away my secret decoder ring!"

I'd love to get into the Dominicans but there is no local Dominican priest here so we can't have a Chapter. The Carmelites have offered me admission and I love their charism. I am very Marian focused. However, the Dominicans were always my first love.
