Then why did Jesus tell those on His left hand (who believed in Him) to depart from Him into the fire prepared for the devil and his angels? Matthew 25:31-46 If it was all about just accepting Jesus, those on His left would not have been condemned. It is because they did not do what Jesus commanded: Love one another. John 15:12 As James says, faith without works is dead. James 2:26
This is after the tribulation period. If you are saved, you won't ever hear those words from our Lord Jesus Christ. How do you know if you have done enough to merit salvation. Will you ever do enough? Or do you have to do what you can and hope that you make it in. Rest in the liberty of grace and a weight will be lifted from you. The burden of sin is gone. It has been covered by the blood. Now the focus is off you and on the Lord. He will be your focus instead of your good works. He will do his good works through you.
