No point in yelling at Salvation, OR, she was responding to *my* joke. You can yell at me if you want but I think you misunderstood.

The UUs don't knock on anybody's door . . . that wasn't the point of the joke. The JWs and LDSs are the "knock knock" crowd.

I should learn when to bite my tongue. :-(

Actually I appreciate the UU jokes. When you get right down to it we are very insignificant in terms of numbers. It's nice to be recognized. :-)

Unfortunately, our local UUs are mostly an arm of the Democratic Party - mostly politics and very little even attempt to consider religion or even philosophy.

Last funeral service I went to that was taken by a UU minister, she talked the whole time about saving the whales and very little about the Dear Departed. It was odd. The Dear Departed's daughter said, "I'd like to KILL that woman . . . "

. . . so you see I don't have very good examples around here.
