No, Satan wasted no time, making numerous versions of Christianity. The apostles warned of such present in their day.
**Church plus tradition plus Bible is too strong. Too many things reinforce each other.**
Satan could say "I'll give it all to them if that's what they want, so it looks like what those apostles have, but they won't know how to rightly divide it".
**So break away one thing at a time. First, remove the authority of the Church in succession from the Apostles, gathered around Peter.**
More precisely: First keep people from obeying Peter and the apostles by being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; that must be stopped pronto. And no better way than confuse their understanding of the Godhead.
The result: NOT baptizing in the name of Jesus. It's the only name that has power over sin.
Second, Satan tells people that receiving the Holy Ghost is not a supernatural experience like in Acts. "Oh, you feel pricked in your heart, or maybe a warm feeling? Yes, that's it. You've received the Spirit". (I've seen people's emotions overwhelmed at an animated movie)
**More than replacing God, Satan wants to separate man from God, eternally. And how better to do that than to put man in a position where each individual can decide for himself what religious truth is, and what it means ... and still claim to wear the mantle of authentic Christianity.**
I agree. And I believe the Holy Ghost filled church of Jesus Christ started in 33 A.D., and the devil started more than one variation that same year.

I always thought that a baptism was valid only if the person or child was baptized in the following manner:
The priest says "I baptized thee in the name of the Father, (one washing with water) and of the Son (two washings with water) and of the Holy Spirit (three washings with water) Amen.
The Catholic belief is that one is baptized through the Trinity and after reciting (or having parents and godparents recite for an infant) the Catholic beliefs.
