**The third thing a Catholic learns, is they do not receive Jesus Christ as Savior when the Eucharist wafer is placed on their tongue.**

**The fourth thing a Catholic learns is the Mass is not found in the Bible any where. **

Also, have you ever looked at a Sacramentary?  Almost ALL of the things a priest (and the people) say during a Mass are from the Bible.

Especially the consecration of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ -- Direct quotes of Christ at the Last Supper from the Gospels.

The author was a little more specific...ie. where is the biblical authority for a priest to pray over the bread and wine to turn it into flesh and blood...Maybe you can adress the actual citations in the article...

You know what's funny - When you compare the Lutheran and Roman Catholic services, there's not all that much difference other than that we Cross ourselves a lot. By ancestry, I'm half-Lutheran and half-Catholic (I know there's really no such thing) although my dad is pretty agnostic and my mother was very devout. My cousin is married to a Lutheran minister so I've been to a few weddings and funerals.

I fell by the wayside from about '68 to '84 but slowly came back to the Church although I can't say I'm really much better than the "bad Catholic" from Walker Percy's "Love in the Ruins."
