In FRmail tonight, Aggie Mama said that she's having gallbladder removal surgery this coming Friday at 9:30 am. She guesses she's had the gallstone for a while, but didn't find out about it until 2 weeks ago.
The surgery is outpatient, but UNDERSTANDABLY, she's on edge about it. AM's run the gamut of feelings between being completely okay and being totally panicked. She's trying to keep her spirits up for herself, her young children and hubby, who's been WONDERFUL through it all.
She said to thank you in advance for your prayers. They mean the world to her.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Lord, please put your healing hand on Aggie Mama's body tonight. I pray that you give her peace, YOUR peace that passes ALL understanding. We've seen the miracles that happen when two or more of us gather in Your midst to pray, and we're asking for another tonight.
Lord, please guide the medical team who will be caring for her. Thank you for her husband, thank you for her children, thank you for all that you've blessed her with.
In Your Name, Amen

God bless your medical caregivers with wisdom to heal you. God bless your family.
(As an aside, I had this done in Oct and was back to work in 4 days. I pray you will heal this quickly.)

My little one was just asking me why I had water in my eyes, and I told him, it's because I have such nice people praying for me. I am so very thankful and honored for all of you keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.
I found out today that my surgery has to be postponed because I have strep. My regular doctor and my surgeon both said "wait" for the surgery, so I've been rescheduled for Friday, March, 9th. This should give enough time for the antibiotic to work. We're all hoping that my gallbladder will hold out for just a bit longer until I can get it removed.
After reading all the responses about how much better one feels after having the surgery, I'm not quite so scared anymore. I'm ready to get rid of the cause of the pain. Knowing that I have so many different people praying for me has given me tremendous comfort and peace. I might actually get a good night sleep tonight! =)
To: Aggie Mama
Oh...I am sorry to hear you have strep...and have to put off the surgery.
I know that waiting is very hard...but, like others, I can tell you that you will be so glad when it's over..you will feel so much better...it will be worth it.
Just take good care of yourself...and let your little one take care of her Mommy....
Prayers up for now and the surgery....

"What PhiKapMom said above" - the first thing I've heard from most friends who had the surgery is "Now I can eat anything I want!"

So sorry to hear that you are not feeling well enough to have surgery now. I was having steroid shots in my back for over one year. Since my gall bladder was removed my back pains are gone. Knowing you will feel better afterwards may make the waiting easier for you. I will continue to pray for you.

I had that surgery 2 years ago. Tell her it is a piece of cake. She will be pretty sore for a week and shouldn't pick up anything for a couple of weeks but that is all. A major gallbladder attack is a serious thing so she is wise to get this over with before that happens. Tell her to just move slowly for a few days and she will be fine.
