DISCLAIMER: Following is an early and unofficial account of the resolutions and vote totals as they occurred at the annual convention of the Diocese of San Joaquin. For the official results please consult the Diocese of San Joaquin. Note also that much business was conducted at this convention, however, only the resolutions regarding our constitution and affiliations with the global Anglican community are listed here. Any differences between this record and the official record are my inaccuracies.
PROCEDURAL NOTE: In the case of changes to the Constitution, there must be two votes (or readings) of the amendments by the convention. While a special convention can be called, 90 days advance notice are required. The earliest we could confirm this vote would be March 3, 2007. However, no convention is currently scheduled prior to the next annual convention.

FIFTH RESOLUTION
Affiliation in the Anglican Communion
Whereas, the 2006 General Convention of the Episcopal Church did not adequately respond to the requests of the Windsor Report, thereby placing the relationship of the Episcopal Church to the Anglican Communion in jeopardy; and
Whereas, the Primates of the Global South have declared the time has come to take initial steps towards the formation of what will be recognized as a separate ecclesiastical structure of the Anglican Communion in the USA; and
Whereas, our worldwide identity as Anglicans in this diocese is contingent on affiliation with a recognized Province of the Anglican Communion; therefore
Be it resolved, this 47th Convention of the Diocese of San Joaquin direct the Bishop, Council, and Standing Committee to assess the means of our affiliation with a recognized Ecclesiastical structure of the Anglican Communion, and bring to the 48th Convention of this diocese a detailed plan for the preservation of our relationship with the Anglican Communion.
THIS RESOLUTION REQUIRED ONLY A SIMPLE MAJORITY VOTE NOT TAKEN BY ORDERS. No official count was taken, but this observer could count only 4 (four) dissenting votes.
Status: Passed without amendment.

You never know what's going to happen to the official source. Therefore, I believe it is always prudent to lock these things up in our own archives.
