No because God appointed us one, and it was Christ. The Epistles relate the characteristics and responsibilites of a good bishop. Nowhere is it implied that any are to hold a special representation of Christ (other than that of us all, the priesthood of believers) to the rest of us.

No because God appointed us one, and it was Christ. If you were a theologian, I would say that is heretical; however, as you have no formal training and I doubt your "pastor's" training extends very far beyond Jack Chick comic books, I will presume that you merely spoke from ignorance.
