I was going to put, as was the case, the Muslim boats pushed up against the shore where the Muslims RAN AWAY, but it was out of my league.

Our priest this morning, however, told the story in amazing detail. Nothing PC interjected, nothing left out. In Los Angeles, of all PC diocese. Amazing.

Hey, I have the Pope's email. Maybe I'll send it to him. Will save a slice for anyone who comes by ... LA.

That must have been great. Maybe the grassroots priest of Los Angeles will change the entire complexion of the Archdioces. Lord, please answer this prayer. Amen!

L = Laurel. The laurel is a symbol of victory.

E = Emancipation. The galley slaves in the Turkish ships were Christian. They were freed.

P = Pope. The Holy Father Pope St Pius V was the inspiration for this holy crusade.

A = Avenge. This crusade was in part to avenge the wrongs commited against Christendom by the Muslims since the 7th century when they first left Arabia.

N = Naval. Lepanto was a great naval battle.

T = Triumph. The outcome was a great Catholic triumph under the command of Don John, the mighty right arm of Jesus and Mary.

O = Our Lady. It was only through her intercession that victory was made possible.

The Muslim ships were lined up in a crescent battle formation, and the Catholic ships were lined up in a cruciform formation.

Wow! I did not know that. --- "In this sign you shall conquer".

Oh Blessed Savior you answered the appeals of your Virgin Mother and gave victory to the Christians over the infidels.

May those who give you glory and serve you in love, faith and hope be granted triumph over those who desecrate your name. May the Holy Trinity ever eternal, ever triumphant be given all honor and glory this day and always. May the heathen rage in vain. May their sins be crushed under the heel of your Holy Mother so that they may turn to you and know you alone are the Christ, savior and Lord of all.
