I was not aware that any scientific theory is presented as "gospel". Perhaps you should study the subject. As you may recall, I've studied the subject enough to know that the doctrine and shifting hypotheses of Evolution have not been demonstrated enough to be called a scientific theory.

(Ok; if you want to pick at a nit - gospel is Good News; and the 'good news' of the ToE is that we don't have to believe any 'unsupported by scientific fact' creation stories of ANY stripe, any more.)
