"It is also worth noting that when the "angel" visited Mohammed, Mohammed was afraid and remained that way. In the Bible, whenever anyone was visited by an angel of the Lord (Joseph, Mary, etc.), the very first thing the angel did was to assure them that there was nothing to fear and they were calmed. This would seem to indicate that whatever spirit visited Mohammed was satan or one of his demons, it WAS not an angel of the Lord."
Amen! You nailed it!

Excellent point. One of the hallmarks of a heavenly apparition is that the recipient experiences great fear at the outset, but followed by soothing calmness - usually at the behest of the apparition. Fear is a self-centered attitude, and receiving a heavenly message requires a negation of self in that "moment" of event.

It is a cult that offers no hope for it's adherents. That's why it's so easy to recruit suicide bombers and cannon fodder. In those actions, the promise of paradise is guaranteed, where it is not at any other time.

I agree. Although we keep being told they are corrupting the religion, I have been reading their so called "holy books" and have to believe exactly what you said.

-—Matthew 5:38-39 You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;—
—yeah—practise that with Islam and you are dead-—
