Salvation by grace through faith is wonderful. Without engaging in a discussion over semantics, it sounds like both to me. Of course the wonderful plan is contingent upon receiving the Lord Jesus as Savior. The alternative is, well, less than wonderful.

God has a plan of hell for most of the world. Is that a "wonderful plan "FOR YOUR ETERNITY (not life )?

To say God has a "wonderful plan for your life" draws many to the altar without ever seeing themselves as sinners with a need to repent. The are not seeking a savior

They want new jobs, better healthy or happiness HERE IN THEIR LIFE

The truth is that the elect often have more pain and trial here than the reprobate.

Prov 3:11-12 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

I perceive that you're annoyed by this "wonderful plan" statement because of certain high-profile preachers who focus on the here-and-now/material as opposed to the eternal/spiritual. If so, I can understand that. I'm not talking about "wonderful plan" in the sense that life will be easy, all our dreams come true, etc. Jesus isn't life-enhancement, he's the Savior and the only Guarantee of eternal life.

The fact is, though, His plan for my life IS wonderful, because he offers forgiveness and eternal life to rotten sinners like me. That many will reject Christ doesn't take away from His marvelous offer of grace. Their destruction will be no one's fault but their own. We don't deserve grace, yet He offers it anyway. That, to me, is a wonderful plan.

Life IS hard for believers...But I've not yet heard a missionary - someone ministering the gospel in Third World countries - moan and complain about how tough life is. No, they testify about the great things happening, new believers being discipled, churches and Bible schools being built. Why? Because, like Paul, they realize that their treasure is in heaven, and the object of their desire must be His Kingdom and His Righteousness. Everything else is dung in comparison.

Th truth is you do not KNOW that God has a "wonderful plan for THEIR life" when you tell someone that do you?

Sure I do, IF they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and are saved. You disagree?
