I consider the Temple to be holy. There weren't any "Dirty little Secrets" in there that I experienced. Obviously your personal experience was very different than mine.

There are Ordinances, Oaths and Covenants that happen in the temple. My brother explained it best to me before I went in. He said in some other religions like Judaism you see more symbolism and ritual. In the public meetings of the church there is some ritual like Sacrament and Baptism. So in the temple there is a lot more ritual and symbolism.

If anything the Temple in the modern Church of Jesus Christ is similar to the Tabernacle of the OT and Temple of Christ's time. The Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle was only entered into once a year by the prophet after he had gone through some cleansing and purification.

I wish your personal experience in the Temple was better for you. Even though you are not "Mormon" now though I am impressed with your Zeal for Christianity.

Very nice answer, thank you.

The oaths were changed in 1990 so chances are, you never experienced the oaths I'm talking about.
