Do Calvinists believe in the Bible as the Word of God?
If so, they have no need to feel defensive. I am evangelical myself and frankly don't spend my time worrying about what Calvinists are doing.

It is refreshing to hear a seminary president like Calvinist Al Mohler consistently contend for the Gospel on Larry King Live in this age of pluralism and tolerance. It's not an accident. In Calvinistic circles, it's cool to fight for what others are surrendering. As opposed to the universalist message taught by Osteen and Warren.

Did you read the article?
How are you with what the non-Calvinist majority of Evangelicals are doing?

CALVINism?
Now I get it!
So *THAT'S* what all those stickers on those pickup truck windows were for- a secret sign between practitioners of a certain faith- kind of like the fish sign for Christians.
I mean it was a fairly good comic that was extremely funny at times, but it's not exactly a religion to most people.

Excuse my ignorance, I really don't understand the question.

He forgot to mention one of the most serious charges: Calvinists have no sense of humor. Oh, wait...
(Outstanding article. Thanks for posting.)

Not that it's a make or break, but...
What Church fathers do you draw on (besides Augustine) to make the case that something like Calvinism was believed historically by the Church?
I ask, because it is my understanding that the Church always believed in free will and the sovereignty of God.

"Calvinism is the strongest resistance to the excesses and errors of the church growth movement."
I can testify that this ain't the case in the PCA.
