Also - this is a church that belongs to the parish of Holy Saviour in Norristown in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. Our lady of Mount Carmel has an interesting history to it. When I get the chance, I will post some pics of Holy Saviour.

I live about 10 minutes from this church, if that. I had heard the Latin Mass had moved to this Church from St. Francis. It doesn't look very crowded - I thought there were more folks in attendance there than this. My daughter, who attends the Latin Mass, hasn't been in this area during Mass time lately.

I think Holy Savior is an Italian (non geographic) parish? Or maybe it's just that all the folks I've known from Holy Saviour were Italian... Anyway, I know Holy Savior does one of the most reverent, if not THE most reverent, NO mass in our area.

The picture was taken 20 min. before mass. People were still comming in when it was taken. It was well attended. Yes - Holy Saviour does a very reverent NO mass.

They moved the mass from St. Francis to here in January of 2005.

Holy Saviour/Our Lady of Mt.Carmel is an Italian parish. My "home parish" is Epiphany of our Lord over on Walton road in Plymouth Meeting. I like Holy Saviour because of the traditional Latin Mass and the reverency of the N.O. mass.

When did the Latin Mass move out of St. Francis? I attended there several times just two or three years ago in the summer. I hope this new (old) parish has air conditioning. St. Francis in the middle of the day in July was certainly a reminded of what Hell could be like temperature wise (except of course for the 1950's era fans mounted on the walls that often drowned out the sermon!).

The latin mass moved to OLMC in January of 2005. I was told it was A) so people could go at a more convienient time rather than the 1:15pm time and Father Trautner did not want it at St. Francis anymore.
