While this is a terrible departure from the model of the Catechumenate I remind myself that the Catechetical lectures of St. Cyril of Jerusalem were addressed to the already-Baptized, explaining the mysteries they had experienced at the Easter Vigil.

Is this offensive? Somewhat, but certainly far less than the "open Communion" advocated in some quarters in which Baptism is a precondition for receiving the Eucharist.

I wonder if this Rector plans follow-up catechesis in the manner of St. Cyril?

Apparently, I don't have to believe anything in order to be a good ECUSA member. All I have to do is show up. Explains a lot!
