According to the church, scientology techniques are compatible with all religions, as scientology is designed to make the able more able.

They insist that one can be of any faith and successfully uses scientology. To some degree that is true. Scientology doesn't directly address God, and therefore doesn't require that one give up a pre existing faith.

In practice, one is sorta expected to ultimately join the Ron-is-God club.

How long were you a member?

I haven't met any Scientologists but I have met a few former-members in social settings.

Personally, descriptions of the organisation seems like an elaborate scheme to seperate people from their cash.

On the other hand, I did have a teacher in High School was in EST. She was a foul hag.
