An example of such open defiance occurred in the Pittsburgh Presbytery, where a female minister, Dr. Janet Edwards, performed a "marriage" ceremony for two lesbians. The ceremony integrated the couple's Buddhist and Christian traditions.

This is just sickening!

I saw it this morning, it is absolutely perfect, but at the same time it is shameful that society has been reduced to this.

The only reason there is controversy is because a bunch of these people don't believe the Bible, and don't believe in Jesus, even though they claim they are Christians. They are either totally ignorant of God's word, or are liars and deceivers. The Bible says "Jesus is the word made flesh", and "he didn't not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it." And "why call me Lord, Lord, and do not the things I say."

Moral relativism/secular humanism are a satanic parasite that have completely invaded much of society. It has taken hold among many Christians (both Protestant/Reformed and Catholic) and Jews, we see it all of the time in the "new age" movement being passed off as "spiritual," witchcraft is now seen as "spiritual" and the list goes on and on. It is truly sickening and depraved, we are probably getting a glimpse of how the world was before the Flood or the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Yeah, it is sickening.

FYI, the integration of Buddhism and Christianity has hit the big-time in our churches via this contemplative prayer nonsense. It's not just unique to this "couple."

Thanks to wagglebee for posting and pinging this. It's not just ECUSA...

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this moderately high-volume ping list (typically 3-9 pings/day).

What many people fail to realize is that Buddhism is atheistic.

Trust me, I know it's not just the ECUSA (and Lutherans, Methodists, and Presbyterians), it's happening to Catholic, every other Christian denomination and the Jews. It is a distressing sign of moral decay.

I know, but they say that some of their mystical practices are belief-neutral. That's bunk, but that's their claim. In the end it least to universalism: all paths lead to God.

Our churches are in very bad shape. Those of us who are Christian and active politically need to be sure we are not too distracted to support the REAL church and the REAL gospel. We must not forget our priorites. I'm not one who demands we drop politics, but I do think we had better keep our priorities straight.

Worth repeating. This is also a glimpse of the one world religion--on the path to the abomination of desolation.

The media has done the Catholic Church a big favor by exposing the sex abuse scandal. In so doing, it has opened up the files of priests and seminaries. Apparently, these same scandals are prevalent in other denominations. We have a shot at cleaning it up.
