Will the ballyhooo ever stop-Is the Vatican II church so desperate for a hero they will stop at nothing, from throwing out the miracle clause, to fast tracking this man to sainthood, to now calling him a "martyr"?

This is absurd and should cease.

Maybe they should make him the patron saint for the blind as he was basically blind for 26 years to all of the abuse -both physical to the little children as well as those of the liturgical and spiritual that was going on while he was jet setting all over the world

I look at John Paul II as a martyr because remember he was in the hospital and they would bring him back to his apartment in the Vatican? When he, himself, realized these were his end days, he would take no drugs to ease his pain. He felt that at the end of his life he should suffer as much as possible like he felt Christ did. He was in terrible, agonizing pain. He suffered horribly before death finally took him (it was reported).
