I was recently given a bible that is designated as the "New Living Translation". It's much more readable than my King James, but I don't know anything about the reliability of the translation. I would like to hear opinions from anyone who knows anything about this. Thanks!
We are in good company, bro.
St Paul wrote similarly.
Impressive, Bro.
We are all dust
awaiting the true enlivening, FULL-FILLing of our legal claim to eternal life wholeness in His Blood and Resurrection Life.
My Pentecostal Holiness dad's bro and life are getting into E-Bay and doing initially promisingly well. Even with just stuff they pick up at garage sales.
Somehow, God will have to have solutions for all of us. His provision is promised.
Would appreciate prayer that God will continue to affirm that I can go back and teach at a univ in Taipei by fall 2005. It's been fitting to help dad with my Alzheimer's mother and I'd rather see her graduate than leave them in a lurch. But God knows and seems to be affirming that He wants to give me the desire of my heart to go back.
Was reared in the AoG. Been through lots of congregations from Episcopal cathedral to Baptist and lots of community churches--where I am now--pastored by a former AoG music minister.
Blessings, prayers for your body and provision.
That's because they were originally in Eubonics and only changed to the KJV by 'Da MAN',....how else do they explain cuz Jesus was a black man...right????? ;^)
Moses, of course.
Follow the links back, and I think you'll get the picture.

Understand.
Well said.
Common to all of us.
His grace, mercy, strengthening and
HIS being THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH and of us
. . . part of our only hope,
IN HIM.
Part of me shudders to imagine walking back into a situation where China is likely to invade within 1-3 years; and a big quake is likely to hit Taipei any time. But, my heart is there. I love the Chinese people and Loving them into the Kingdom with Christ's Love is part of my deepest and main joys yet available in my life. Little else compares or is even very interesting.
I love the USA but have little to any deep abiding deisre to watch over it's crashing into chaos, neighbor to neighbor fighting; invasion and support of the global government. I've tried here, enough, imho. We shall see.
Let's hope it wasn't the train depo(sic)
If so, my little (sic) stands!
Careful what you all say about us Army chaplains. I were one....til I retired, anyway.
China is a more Christian nation
in raw numbers
of authentic Christians who are very prayerful and loving of one another and the lost in extremely extensive, costly ways
than the USA is.
Met some wonderful chaplains in the Navy.
Many were hardly more than secularists in a different job cloak. Some did not even know if they believed in the existence of God, or not.
Perhaps I'm an oddity, but I have never had anyone tell me what to preach or how to preach it.
The only thing I recall is being encouraged at certain functions to pray an "inclusive" prayer. It was never demanded, but the system figured out who would go along with it, and they then tended to use the same folks for that kind of event.
But the major issue in the Army was always wartime coverage. They didn't care about anything at that point except that you got out to be with the troops.
