In order to have an intelligent discussion of about the topic, which is the title of this thread, one must have at least a cursory knowledge of the work of John Calvin. Merely second sourcing citations will most likely quickly reveal to discerning posters that you are woefully ignorant of Calvinism.
I have provided an online book, of which I have skimmed, but not read every jot and title, for reference of a source which makes the claim that Calvinism does make God the author of Sin. See section 3 of the book.

WHATEVER!
P.S. -- unless your name is Besty or Bob, I find your FReeper name offensive.
I really do not think your position is defendable by SCRIPTURE as opposed to tradition .
I have noticed when the question comes up and students of the word point out that it is not biblical , soon the crowd scatters because it is not easy to defend a non biblical position from scripture.
Perhaps another day huh?
Have a good day
Yeah, you told me that before. Guess what - I don't care.
I don't consider a response to a person's comments to be a "ping", so if that's what you mean by ping, then I will ignore what you said because we live in a Free Country.
If you would like I will prepare a complete refutation of Calvinism for later post, since it is YOUR position that is unbiblical and did not even exist until the time of Calvin.
LOL people have been trying that for centuries. The faith of the ENTIRE reformation was Calvinism , so it would be necessary for you to refute the reformation.
Anyway the topic was infant salvation and the age of reason.Yes I would like to see your complete BIBLICAL argument on THAT
Stand by then, will post later as a separate article.
Whatever.
I am not around FR all the time , so please ping me and also ksen or snerkle and one of them will get to me if I do not see it. Blessings
Thanks and to you too. I will try to have it up this weekend, but I'm not a doctorate or anything. Just working on my bachelor's (3 more semesters in between navy business)
And you are right about my name. Someone who is against Calvinism should not go around calling themselves Bsunday (for Billy Sunday), even sarcastically.
Truce ?
~~"Truce?"~~
Sure.
Thanks for the ping. 8~)
FWIW, I've found positive tags to be preferable to negative tags, i.e. "I'm for something" rather than "I'm against something."
BTW, the funniest tag I ever read (I forget whose) was "Proudly posting without reading the article since 1999." I laugh just typing it.
If you ever want to read up on reformed theology and the faith of the Reformation, a good website is http://www.monergism.com
LOL me too. I love that one. Thanks for the link, I will be sure to check it out.
Or, if you're an English major, in what's your degree? 8~)
I don't have it yet. It's going to be in Bible. I am currently enrolled at Heritage Christian University distance learning program while I'm in the navy. They do the courses by VHS/DVD. Twice I have been to campus for summer session.
Hey way to go ! My son just became retired Navy .
Studies first !
Christians worship ON Sunday. We don't worship Sunday. And BTW the Sabbath is Saturday, named after the pagan god Saturn. So would you be equally offended by someone named BSaturday?
Good luck and God bless. We need more schooled Christians.
Hey Lerch you out there?
Hadn't talked to ya in a while.
I still never have liked you. :)

Bump for my new name
