Well it looks to me like the FR Religion forum has crossed the Tiber and is now an official organ of the Vatican.

When our children were young, they called me "Daddy". It's the the equivalent of "Abba" in Aramaic. Modern Aramaic perhaps, but there is no evidence of such a meaning in the Aramaic of Jesus' day. In Jesus' day it is simply the Aramaic equivalent of the Hebrew "av", or "father".

LOL! Get a history book. The unbroken apostolic line is clear.
My history book is missing the Pope from 304-308. Will you please fill in the blank for me?
You Prots sprang up from the pride of man about 1,500 years after Jesus Christ founded His One True Church with His apostles and promised that the jaws of death would not prevail against it.
Yesterday you "accidentally" misspelled Protestant with a small "p". Today you insult them with the pejorative "Prots". What next Miss Sweetness?
BTW you can ask SoothingDave if I am a Protestant.

In terms of coarse manners with those who are brothers....I think I know what Jesus would do.
He wouldn't be unmannerly with his brothers.
Why would he?

There's some wishful thinking.
Right. Pretty much as "the unanimous consent of the fathers/bishops".
Was The Council Of Nicea an Ecumenical Council? Was the Bishop of Rome given universal primacy?

Pretty much as "the unanimous consent of the fathers/bishops". Try reading the part about men with a "natural love of contradiction" again and think about what it means.

Perhaps if your cult were less ridiculous, it might contain more than one person. You can do better than that, I'm sure. Satan's cult of pride and non-service dragged a third of the angels down with him. Hey, you could always use his battle cry for your tagline: non serviam. (LOL! Just teasing about your tagline.)
Don't misunderstand me I am not a button pusher, never have and never will but "teasing" such as yours has gotten people banned from the forum.
You keep proving you are a nasty little girl with no substance. (I know you have children. Your "nasty little girlness" is between your ears.)

Protestants and Catholics on this forum are not brothers. Not so sure some Protestants around here wouldn't rather have the Taliban as their neighbors.

Yes we do. Jesus would act out of perfect love and gather a cult of more than one, 1.1 billion perhaps.
Do you wish to compare your share of "truth" by the numbers? By your reasoning Islam must be the chosen one. IOW, don't make rediculous analogies.
And, when strong words were called for He wasn't afraid to use them.
Matthew 3:
[7] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sad'ducees coming for baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Matthew 12
[34] You brood of vipers! how can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 23:
[33] You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?

I'm still working on "unanimous".

I dunno. Have I sent you any mail asking why you are so mean to me?

I made the mistake of believing you'd do better than that. I guess I'll have to ask a person who will tell it like it is.
Mack, am I a Protestant?
