The Jerusalem Post reports: "The construction of the security fence is to be expedited in 2004 and become the "largest construction project ever" undertaken by the nation...".

I'm pleased to ANNOUNCE that the THIRD TEMPLE will soon eclipse the efforts to build the Fence and will truly become the "largest construction project ever" undertaken by the NATION, as is just and proper.

Millions of faithful Jews and Christian-Zionists worldwide join together in reassuring Jerusalem and the Temple Mount: "You shall be built..and to the Temple, Your foundation shall be laid!" (Isaiah 44:28).

If someone rebuilt the temple, wouldn't it actually be the FOURTH temple?

Solomon's Temple (destroyed)
Zerubabbels Temple (desecrated by Antiochus)
Herod's Temple (constructed on foundations of Z's temple; destroyed by Titus in 70 AD)

And what would be the purpose of this new temple? According to the Hebrews writer,

• There is no more sacrifice for sin than the one sacrifice offered by Jesus

• The Aaronic priesthood is obsolesced by the priesthood of Jesus

• The Holy of Holies is open to all, the veil having been rent at the death of Jesus

  I just don't get the need for a temple here on earth when I already have access to the temple not made with hands, the very throne of God.
