Pedro vs Roger. Two of the greatest pitchers to ever play the game. Fenway Park is rocking. Electricity is in the air. Here we go...

Incredible, eh? Martinez should be out of the game period. Zimmer should go too but Martinez is the root of this evil.
To: Chi-townChief
So they didn't eject ANYONE? Hard to believe. Will they suspend anyone AFTER the game, I wonder?

I hate Zim. I hate Clemens. I hate Pedro.
And I hated all three of them before hating them was cool.
All three are idiots.

Roger should plunk Manny next pitch. I'm glad he didn't. Baseball should have more class than your (hopefully tongue-in-cheek) recommendation.

It's a shame Zim does not have a carry permit for Mass.

Who knows? This may really get nuts if it goes back to NYC.
To: dead
Pedro should be ashamed of himself.

In hockey I root for games like this end in a lopsided score, so guys like Brashear can fight it out on the ice...

I liked it. Zip ran at Pedro and tried to hit him with a left hook. Pedro pushed him aside and Zip fell down. Seems like justice was served.

Now THAT sounds like Cleveland and Chicago!

This is what is wrong with baseball .....they didn't toss Pedro because they don't want to offend either team.
Crimy you had a star player take out a 72 year old guy....

Can you imagine if this goes 7 games? ....Pedro will be pitching that last game at Yankee Stadium.

Don Zimmer needs to be checked for rabies. Has he been bitten by Roger in the last week?

You can hate Manny Ramirez too. He demanded the Sox hire his personal trainer/nutritionist/valet to travel with the team and attend to his needs. That'll endear you to your new mates.
I haven't seen this much Latino blood boiling since a Thursday soap opera on Univision.
To: jwalsh07
Granted, it looks pathetic to see Pedro throw Zimmer to the ground, but Zimmer charged him. I wouldn't let an old man get a free shot at me just because he's old. Pedro probably could have simply sidestepped him, but oh well.
Clemens is mean, but Pedro's just a punk.

This may really get nuts if it goes back to NYC. We may see some epic fights in the stands. Or fans throwing things. In EITHER stadium. Boston/New York was never a particularly friendly rivalry among the fans, and something like this will certainly not help.

Ah, reduced to personal attacks. Personal attacks? Good heavens. I said not one single thing about your person or any aspect of it. I did, in one small part of a fairly long description of my position, characterize my opinion of what your position seems to be.
Goodbye.
I'm not surprised...

I don't know why anybody on the Yanks did not have the junk to just squash Martinez when they saw him belt Zimmer. He needed to be destroyed.
