California also has one of the worst business-tax climates in all fifty states. If California wants to fully employ its workforce, the state has to stop treating businesses like villains and start treating them as partners. He has no intention of it, except for the big boys. Think Potterville.

How about reduce California sales tax? We pay 8.5% in SF. It's ridiculous. Throw out the Franchise Tax Board, have everyone take their Federal Income Tax, compute the percentage of Federal Tax and send Calif 5% of their income. (Flat and low.)
Throw out the CA EPA, have every gas station be allowed to sell the same gas as sold in any other state. Ban MTBE (Lower gas prices)
Create a polution tax to replace the smog II system. Tax based on polution level of the car, measured once a year, and the miles driven. Let people keep older cars if they do relatively small amounts of driving. Get rid of the whole smog control offices, roll back regulations to Federal level, stop double pork chop.
Contact FReeper Cari-Okie to implement the concepts of Natural Processes (economic based environment solutions)
Open forests to thinning operations. (more business)
Reduce state department of education
Adopt tort reforms and the Workers Compensation program of Nevada.
