Yes - the whole conciliatory speech was a huge lie:
"I'm a decent person, doing the right thing for this great state, respecting the will of the people."
To: PhiKapMom
To think Davis imagined himself a presidential candidate only three years ago... how things change. Wow.

Anyone want to bet that the Governor's Mansion will be vandalized just like the White House? Well, at least it won't be a surprise. And now, without further adieu... "Hey, Gray!! GET OUT OF ARNOLD'S HOUSE!!"
To: ThePythonicCow
I gotta give him style points for that.

Greta hasn't said anything yet!
But I didn't catch her earlier.

This half loaf is much better than no loaf at all.
Come 2006 when Arnild needs the pubbies to get re-elected that will be when he can be pressed on other issues.

Wonder if he treats them like he (allegedly) treats his female staff?

Cubs lose, Davis loses, Bustamante loses...the Dems must be bummed! (I know there are conservative Cub fans, it's just that Chicago is horribly Dem)

Davis would be a better candidate than most of the current 'Rat field.
What a horrible mess the 'Rats have on their hands now.
To: GOPrincess
Davis: "In the next few weeks we will have a new governor." Not now? Arnold didn't win by enough votes to end this at once? We have to wait a month for certification?
Shredding time, my sweet, shredding time...
To: ThePythonicCow
Numbers ticking up a little again. Still nothing from Kern or Tulare County. Anyone know why?
2003 California Statewide Special Election
Shall Gray Davis be recalled?

He kind of seemed human, in a eerie, zombie-like sort of way.
The rest of the zombies were at the Republican party in the City of Industry. When myself and my wife were the only ones to applaud Tom's speech and the rest of the zombies there just stared blankly... Grr. No, I did not support Tom, but damn it, he's a fellow Republican, he said some fine words, and he deserves recognition of them.
After leaving, it was great - cars honking on the way home, people cheering, giving victory signs to eachother along the road. Just random people, driving along. There was just a single Arnold bumper sticker in that parking lot, on the road there were dozens... I didn't understand what most people here meant by country club Republicans. I had missed them along the way.. Tonight I met them, and tonight, they made me sick.
