The Vietnamese in Phoenix seem to prefer beef stomach to dog. I thought the Koreans and Chinese were dog-eaters. The Vietnamese, too?

"Actually, while we can expect some legal moves from the RATS, it's a better situation in California because there are statewide recounting standards for all voting methods used."

In a close race, you could still see serious nastiness. A chad-chaff recount is possible in heavily Dem LA County, for example, but in more Republican areas, you have the "non-recountable" elecronic system with no paper trail.

So is the recall succeeds by slim margin, they could go "sweeping under the tables" for "lost" votes in heavily Dem areas only. When you sweep up in the candy facory, you get exree candy, when you sweep up in a barnyard you get something else, and it ain't more republican votes. So, if it's close, there is lots of room for more courtroom antics by the Dems.

I just got a call from one of my employees... she just got done voting - she said there were about 50 people in line in front of her. She also reported that while her name was on the first checklist (the one done by street address), her name didn't appear on the second checklist (the one done by name) - so she had to cast a provisional ballot.

Let's make sure we document any irregularities like this.

Ignorant? Arnold will be the next governor, and Republicans will have a chance to have their voices heard in this state. It's been a long dry liberal spell.

FNC saying people are reporting no problems "negotiating" their way around the ballot (their term). Also the voters are fully aware of the chads issue, not leaving them.

What is the impact of the provisional ballots? Maybe your employee ought to investigate why this occurred.

Type in you address and you get your polling place and the page of the ballot on which Arnold is on. Very Cool.

That was cool. I entered my parents address and was shown a sample ballot - on theirs Arnold is 3rd from the top.

Gosh, you guys have all the luck--I can't get doughnuts in Sweden, and sometimes I wake up from having dreams I am about to bite into one. *Sigh*
Have one for me! (I can get pretty cheap Gevalia, however, it's Sweden's version of Folger's!)
I have been going nuts reading each and every recall thread I can for the past few weeks (so many hours!!!) and I must say, some of you have been pretty darn persuasive in your arguments (both sides) and some have just been downright viscious.
In my Swedish class today, I had to try and explain in my pathetic Swedish just why the recall was happening (they all seemed to find it nuts that Shwarzenegger was running, and all thought the dems were good people!)
I really could have used a doughnut!!! Eat one for me on your way to

GET RID OF DAVIS!!!!!!!!!
