To: steveegg
Over at DU they still don't get it that Bubba has been nothing but a disaster for the Democrats. Let's pray they never will!

If he was talking about "movement" in the numbers since the smears, wouldn't that be a BAD thing? Not sure I understand what you're getting at..
"Little movement," meaning it looks like the smears didn't work.

Just got this from a friend with a DC office:
Our DC office just heard these exit polls. Dem politicos are reporting a low voter turn out in the Bay Area so they are thinking its gonna be a blow out.
Davis' exit polls show:
57% yes on recall
43% no on recall
47% Arnold
34% Bustamonte
Take this for what it's worth, but sounds in line with the polling of late.

Hannity just said he honestly believes Arnold will win. (That's good, but no actual data to back it up).
To: DodgeRam
"Talks about a backlash"? A backlash about what???
To: ScottinSacto
If that's true Arnold should top 50% once L.A comes in. It looks like an Arnold romp in the making!

Just went to take a look at my local polling station. On the outside door they had the complete voter list stapled up with those voting by 11am lined out. Seems to me it would be easy for anyone to take a look and get a name and addres then go into the station to make a false vote....even repeat this later in the day. Any comments....? I guess I could take a pic of this for the record....maybe hang around outside to see if anyone does this.... By all means go back there ASAP and get a picture of it. Perhaps videorecording might also be wise, since it has a timestamp.
There could very well be a good reason for their posting that info, but off the top of my head I'm having trouble coming up with one. Better safe than sorry, get some documentation, then if someone else hasn't posted a good reason why this is innocuous, then forward it to the election officials, local media, and the Arnold and McClintock campaigns.

Man I hope your right.
To: ScottinSacto
that would mean Arnold beats Davis directly 47-43. That means a mandate.

Well, if he is talking about "little" movement, that means that things didn't change much. Very encouraging for Arnold, if the exit polls are as he is reportedly representing. AND if the exit polls are accurate. Which to me is a very big if.
I think Sabes has it right. Pass the popcorn, it's time to watch and wait. Fretting or trying to influence things at this point is fruitless.
To: finnman69
Yes... and if the turnout in the Bay Area is unusually low, Davis is good as gone. No way he can win without a very heavy Democratic turnout there and in Los Angeles and that's before the absentee votes are counted. I expect a very heavy GOP turnout both in Orange County and in the exurban Republican heartland to the east of the liberal coastal strongholds.

It would be sweet if Arnold receives more votes than the vote no on recall crowd. Otherwise we will never here the end of "Gray Davis got more votes than Arnold." Blah blah VRWC blah.
To: DodgeRam
Just back and Tony definitely sounded like things are "status quo" with Arnold in the forefront...
David Dreier is on CNN saying something about wanting to come together after the election...is that a good sign? Trying to read the tea leaves again.

Even if you swear that you're going to vote against the recall, we still have no interest in hearing how you "admire" our opponents or how you feel "ashamed" about attacks against them. Geeze, "Hate them or be gone!"
No surprise coming from that sewer.

This is Standard Operating Procedure... the lists of who hasn't voted are made available so that precinct walkers can see who hasn't voted and go knock on their door.
