I have learned from our champion that we must fight the evil Indians. The evil Indians are the fount of all evil in the world.
The evil Indians, our champion tells us, must share their wealth with us. They are rich and we are poor. We need their revenues to survive. They must give us a cut of their ill-gotten gain. It is only fair, says our champion. And we are so, poor, the evil Indians so rich. Our champion does not play that game.
So, I have learned well that this one issue the evilness of the Indians -- is all that matters. I know that no other questions or thoughts need come to my mind. I know this, so, it is with trepidation I must ask, no beg, with humble respect, and as supplicant, for I know only our champion can win -- such has been told me by the men who defend our champion and tell us only our champion can win -- so I ask the following of our ever victorious champions men
I know our champion will fight the evil red man who will not share his wealth -- will our champion also fight those who take our money and give it to the people who advocate and encourage young women to take their own child from their womb? Will he fight those who give our money money they have taken from us -- to the people who then pay for the women to take their babies from their womb?
Will our champion fight those who seek to classify and categorize us based on who our mother and fathers are, categorize and catalog us based on what foods we like to eat, what languages we may know, where our ancestors lived and how we look?
Will our champion fight those who seek to take our money, our hard earned pay, to give to men who are special friends of other men, who share a domicile and claim to deserve to take our money for their special friend solely because they are special friends?
Will our champion fight those who take our money and chase business -- our livelihoods -- away because if they do not take our money and chase business away, the Earth itself will heat up so hot it will kill us all so, we must save the Earth by giving our money to them and chasing business away.
Will our champion fight those who have our money -- our money which we gave freely to educate our children -- will our champion fight those who do not allow us to use our own money to educate our children in schools other than those which teach our children not to read and write and do arithmetic, but teach that if we do not want to give our money to special friends, or do not believe the Earth is soon to burn up, if we do not give our money away to save the Earth, then we are evil and bad.
Our champion says no. He will not fight those things. He is with those who do these things. He is their champion. He will fight only the evil, evil Indians who will not share their vast riches with us poor who have nothing.
Perhaps our champion, our Emperor pre-elect, perhaps, just maybe, our champion has no clothes?
Well not perhaps. He doesnt. There are pictures. The men with special friends paid our champion for them.
Of course I know, only our champion can win. No other talk is allowed. Forgive me my vanity.
Schwarzenegger's policies address none of these things.
If he were to say the California I immigrated to didn't have Casinos on every corner and we will stop this, then he'd have integrity and get my respect, maybe even my vote.
But nonsensical demagouging about the evil Indians and how he don't play dat game is a joke.
This thread is about how Schwarzenegger does not support core conservative issues -- ones that as governor he has a direct ability to affect.
He will continue to dole out tax dollars for funded abortion, will dole out tax dollars to give benefits to domestic partners, will not return tax dollars to help people send their children to private schools that don't ban God or foist the liberal left agenda on them.
Indian gaming is a red herring. The latter are real issues - conservative vs liberal, right vs left issues and on everyone Schwarzenegger is on the left.
I see no reason to vote for a Republican to implement the left's agenda.
The absolute worst idea. Yet I think the Schwarzenegger camp will do this or seriously look in to it, if nothing else as their best bargaining chip with the tribes.
I don't want Las Vegas coming to CA. I don't like Indian casinso at all either. We never had them when I was growing up. All we had was the track.
More gambling is not the answer.
This Constitutioon, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
In interpreting this article of the Constitution, here is what the Supreme Court said when citizens of Switzerland, pursuant to a treaty between the United States and Switzerland, were trying to remove certain monies from the possession of the state of Virginia:
If doubts could exist before the adoption of the present national government, they must be entirely removed by the sixth article of the Constitution, which provides that 'all treaties made or which shall be made under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land, and the judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any thing in the Constitution or law of any State to the contrary notwithstanding ... A treaty cannot be the supreme law of the land, that is, of all the United States, if any act of a State legislature can stand in its way. . . It must always be borne in mind that the Constitution, laws, and treaties of the United States are as much a part of the law of every State as its own local laws and Constitution. This is a fundamental principle in our system of complex national polity Hauenstein v. Lynham, 100 U.S. 483 (1880).
Yes. So let's leave it that way. We do not need to get addicted to Indian gaming money.
It's like the sin tax -- it's self defeating. Tax cigarettes -- more and more epople need to smoke to keep the money coming in. It makes no sense.
See a post above for the hand holding explanation.
I did.
