Rush knows his business well enough to know that if he doesn't get on top of these scandels, especially the drug thing, fast, he might lose the Attila the Hun Chair.

I can't help but feel one reason for his weight loss was stomach reduction surgery.

What's all this with you people who don't think but feel. Show some intellectual integrity and stop speculating as if you can discern facts out of thin air.

Not for making those comments about quarterbacks (Like I care about football!) but for folding like a stepped-on Kleenex box at the first puff of controversy. Whatever happened to the proud old in-their-face Rush?

Reading between the lines of Rush's statement, I get the feeling at least some of his "Sunday NFL Countdown" colleagues said, "It's either him or us," so Rush quit to prevent the show from falling apart. Right or wrong, there's no way he could come out of this looking good if he insisted on remaining on the show under such circumstances.

No bashing from me. I agree 100% with you...and most of the time that I'm able to listen to Rush....but he's no "Stop the World" hero, unlike some of the people here, who fawn over him like the Rats do Clinton.

The guy's a radio DJ who spins politics instead of records. Any number of people here, given the radio experience, could do his job. Whatever happens to him is "whatever" to me. If he's clean, great. If he's addicted, oh well. I have far-more pressing issues than to wring my hands over a multiple-millionaire.

Rush is an ENTERTAINER not a POLITICIAN.

You and I may see him as just an entertainer, but there are many people around here who see him as the Grand Poobah of the Conservative movement and an ICON of the political world. Rush was never too kind when pro jocks and the Hollywood Wacks were caught doing drugs because they we're setting a very good example.

Ah, where did that come from? I agree 2 hours is a long time to say I have a pill problem (if that is the case); but what does a 2 hour progrma have to do with "Rush, we can't function unless you tell us what to do or how to do it. " 1/2 of what I love about Rush is his Ego. The man is hilarious!

I still find Shohat's involvement fascinating...

After the maid and her husband figured that they needed a lawyer, she flipped to attorney's in the yellow pages and there he was.!!!!

I don't love Rush, but IF it's true, and he talks about his addiction, I wouldn't think less of him. A lot of "normal" people get hooked on painkillers, they get an injury or something, and aren't as wary as they should be about becoming dependent, and then their judgment is affected. Addiction is not a sin, and IF that's his plight, I hope he gets the help and support he needs. Plus, he's not a politician, so if he has had lapses in judgment they haven't jeapardized the public trust, etc. He could become a role model for facing your burdens, and become a guiding light to others.

Tonight will be two hours of his outline on his Declaration of War on the democrats. There are no drugs. Nada. Take care!

I hope you are right. Lock and load.
