Set up? Anatomy of the contrived Wilson "scandal"

Thank you SO much for the link to that early piece in The Nation by Wilson. I had not seen it before. Yep, he missed another golden opportunity to state his concerns openly to a friendly audience. The obvious conclusion to draw is that he didn't have any such concerns initially, but that it became a convenient excuse to insert himself into the controversy that arose from the SOUA.

Other FReepers have said they think there is a wider story here, and they may well be right. But at least insofar as the thread that winds through to eruption of the current "leak" controversy, it looks like Wilson, Pincus, Corn, and probably Wilson's wife are the key players.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that others shouldn't draw their own conclusions or suppositions. The opposite is the case. My whole aim is to encourage people to use their minds, think this sort of thing through to reasonable conclusions, and share what they discover. Agency officials asked him to check out the stry so they could provide a RESPONSE to the VP office......iteresting word...response....and while he says he did NOT see the report, my guess is that the lovely Mrs. Rosenberg-Wilson did see it!!! Maybe...just maybe it contradicted everthing that Ethel Plame had put into HER reports!

So when the VP needs a RESPONSE by the CIA, who do they send....someone who does NOT WORK for the CIA.....wow...now that makes sense!!!

If your boss needs a something done, do you send your friend to do it?

The Rosenberg-Wilsons are a very interesting little couple....he being the Ambassador t IRAQ when the FIRST Gulf War crap hit the fan.......so he HAS been in touch with Saddam....maybe friendly...and maybe his wife is friendly also in her reporting.....hmmmm...stay tuned. Well .. I think the wife is more involved than you have noted. She and Hillary are bestest of friends, and the Wilsons have held fundraisers for both the Clintons.

If the wife suggested Wilson go on the trip - I can put 2+2 together and get Hillary as the suggestor!

Since the clintons were sashaying their behinds all over the world trying to drum up support for FRANCE's stand against the war, surely the Clintons could have taken advantage of Valerie's connections to get one of the left's "operatives" to go to Niger, in order to set up the scam. The clintons did everything they could to try to stop the war. I believe this was behind the motivation; thinking if the intel wasn't there - somehow this was going to influence Bush and stop him from going to war.

Hillary had to know what a war would do for Bush's numbers. People were angry and we wanted those murderers to be brought to justice. And .. the clintons wanted to protect France's investment in Iraq; which x42 had to know about.

The other problem is that the UK has never backed off on their assertion that Iraq had made inquiries about purchasing yellowcake; and the added fact that the UK has other independent confirmation of that information.

My final point of agreement is also about the wife. I find it rather interesting that Wilson's wife works in WMD and the biggest stink coming out of Congress is WMD. I do not believe for one moment this is a coincidence.

You know, the day this began breaking, Eric Burns (FOX-Newswatch), was interviewed by Shep and Eric is really puzzled by a lot of this. Why don't you email him this link. I think Eric would find it most interesting.
