Thank you SO much for the link to that early piece in The Nation by Wilson. I had not seen it before. Yep, he missed another golden opportunity to state his concerns openly to a friendly audience. The obvious conclusion to draw is that he didn't have any such concerns initially, but that it became a convenient excuse to insert himself into the controversy that arose from the SOUA.
Other FReepers have said they think there is a wider story here, and they may well be right. But at least insofar as the thread that winds through to eruption of the current "leak" controversy, it looks like Wilson, Pincus, Corn, and probably Wilson's wife are the key players.
It's better that you have kept the focus narrow on this and it is appreciated.
