He just conducted the all-time national experiment in both the bias of the news media and of the true state of race relations in America.

Bustamante uses the word 'nigger' in front of a room full of black people, and it barely gets a mention in the press. Limbaugh tells the truth about McNabb and the NFL and gets canned?

you quote about 1/100 of what he said in the entire segment. And of course only that which supports your arguement. I heard rush say that he didn't think McNabb was that good to begin with. So Rush is in fact saying that, in his mind, McNabb is popular because he is black. I can infer that from EVERYTHING he said, not just the 1/100 that you quote.

Rush was sticking up for the eagles defense. He felt McNabb was getting a all of the credit for the teams success, when much of it belonged to the Eagles defense.

A lot of those players are black you know.

Yet the only defensive player the sports writers like to talk about is the very white Urlacher.

Rush was stickin up for a lot black players when he made his opinion known.

He could be the best or the worst. It does not change the fact that Rush wants a lot of black defensive players to get the credit from sports writers they deserve for making that team as good as it is.

As far as the internet(and you), the only thing Rush said was "I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well,'' Limbaugh said. "There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team." But he said A LOT more than that, but the STUPID media only feels like quoting that one piece. I guess they just have visions of black QBs dancing in their heads.

His obituary was pretty much entirely about one incident where he phrased something awkwardly.

In Boston they call this getting "Bill Bucknered" (well, maybe they don't, but Bostonians know what I mean). Rush is his own boss on a very popular radio show, so he probably won't share that fate, except among those who already hated him.

I guess I try to be consistent...

I have asked Michael King on many occassions on this forum why he publishes posts that tend to give many here a reason to say, "Look at those black people and what they are doing wrong!"
There are posts here that advocate the point that he used poor judgement.

I do not hate the man and I certainly respect his views on many political issues but I think he does have a tendency to think the worst of black people and says some things that offend me. I am thick skinned enough to discuss it. How about you?

I am simply looking for consistency.

You may do what you wish with your nose. I do not feel it is within my rights to tell you otherwise.

I am not looking for total agreement. I want to discuss the issue. Name calling is not necessary and you can take any road you want.

OK, my double-standard alarm just went off. So, it's not OK for Rush to criticize the media for what he perceives as racism, but it IS OK for McNabb and the media to criticize Rush for what they perceive as racism. Why is nobody calling for McNabb to resign? I won't say what I think. I'd probably be called a racist.
