Cowboys? LOL! Try Vikings and Broncos season ticket holder. Frankly, the NFL ranks right up there with WWF for me. The fact is, you're a pro-Affirmative Actioneer and you've been called out, haven't you?!

I thought the QB's remarks demonstrated a lot of class.

I don't. He refused to even consider an apology, even if it were offered. A gracious person would at least HEAR the apology.

I'm sad he didn't put up a fight, but I have to say I'm selfishy glad he resigned. It was just taking to much time away from his show. Too many days away and off-topic sports.

You're right. Now he'll go back to talking about golf. I hate golf.

Don't get me wrong - I used to be a big Rush fan. But frankly I got tired of it. That being said IMHO is it hard to find someone who has done more for the conservative movementat, at least from a grass-roots perspective. Imagine all those listeners having their thoughts confirmed daily, unlike the tax-sponsored NPR tripe.

Rush was defending the eagles defence on this one. Read the quote. He felt the media was giving all of the credit for the eagles success to McNabb when a good share belongs to the eagles superior defense.

Perfect. If he would have said that, he would still have his weekend job. But that is not all he said. He said 'The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well' and then follows that up with(damn I can't find it right now, but I'll paraphrase) - And I never thought he was that good to begin with. So 1 and 1 equals = I think he is popular becasue he is black. Which is stupid if you look at the crap Randall Cunningham had to put up with thru his career.

No kidding. McDumba** got a free pass on the "I SUCK!" bandwagon and then acted like, yes, he deserved it today!

there is a war in every segment of society for the soul of this country ..

I agree. This is what is happening. It is spiritual warfare being played out on the battle field of humanity.

Sometimes I get discouraged but in many ways my faith is growing stronger. I do pray a lot these days.

Vikings? Then it must kill you to have culpepper at the helm. I am very far from a pro-Affirmative Actioneer. But I don't like to hear rush claim that the only reason McNabb is popular is because he is black.

"You, of course, will cliam he did not say that. I can use my brain and get 2 from 1 plus 1. He said 'The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well' and then follows that up with(damn I can't find it right now, but I'll paraphrase) - And I never thought he was that good to begin with." -- SengirV

"I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well,'' Limbaugh said. "There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team." -- Rush Limbaugh

You may get 2 from 1 plus 1, BUT YOU MADE UP THE SECOND 1!

Rush was sticking up for the Eagles defence. He felt a lot of the credit for the success of the team was being given to McNabb. The defense deserves a lot of that credit.

A lot of those defensive players are black you know. Journalist do them a dis-service when they ignore them to promote Donovan. The media rarely discusses black defensive players, but sure likes to talk about the very white Urlacher.

Rush was sticking up for a lot of black players here.

Yep. We're all victims. Did this really deserve a press conference? Man. I can't wait until the day when men are actually men again. (Not talking about conservative men, who are already manly men.) Rush is right. This country has been
Oprahized.

After the league's comments about Rush today, and Tagliabue's pandering little call to McNabb... I've had it with the whole league.

Kinda tough day, being born and raised in Philly and an Eagles fan all my life. But I know I'll never be able to root for McNabb again, and I'm not sure I'll ever feel the same about the NFL again, either.

He crossed the line and everyone here knows it....

He crossed the line as the media defines it. Big difference from how most of us at FR define it, I'll wager. I wanted to say something snottier to you, but you'd just throw it back in my face. Not taking the high road, just don't care to throw gasoline on your fire.

I've been clear today, for those who pay attention, that Culpepper is not far from the same league as McDumba**. The Pepper, without the o-line, skilled players and an improved defense, is WAYYYY overrated and yet ANOTHER prime example of the media investing (affirmative action) themselves emotionally on a guilt-ridden fantasy to keep guys that shouldn't be starting...still starting. Hell, Gus Frerotte PROVED, YET AGAIN, that the Vikings have NOTHING to do with the Pepper and EVERYTHING to do with the rest of the team. Daunte has the highest fumble per game career avg. (1+) in the history OF THE GAME!!!!!!! It's not about color, except that if you're black, then the liberal elitists and media will cut you ALL KINDS of slack!! Whatever you're smoking, stay in the house.

Wrong chimp. Let them defend themselves jerk.

Sadly, I think you're missing the whole point.

The sports press DOES have a protective attitude toward black quarterbacks because they carry the usual "white guilt" for so many years of mostly white-only quarterbacks, along with their own failure to make any point of it.

This is an affirmative action story, disguised as a sports story.

Tell that to Randall Cunningham, another Eagles QB. He was questioned his entire career because he was a black QB. I think that Gannon and Pennington got as much play as McNabb last year. I agree that Vick got a bit too much air play, but that is because ESPN can put together a highlight reel of him single handly winning games. There are not too many folks in team sports who can do that.

How many superbowl rings does McNabb have? Rings beat stats all day long, every day.

Believe me, I agree. But some people here will only accept cold hard facts(stats).
