I am hoping to get folks to quit shopping at Target because they sell these awful, dirty, FCUK EWE products at Marshall Field's here in Mpls. For any retailer here in the Heartland to spit on the morals and standards that most of us live by is just unbelievable. Target refuses to follow Federated who dropped this line of Degenerate cosmetics and tee shirts and other clothing after a week of protests from God fearing Christians all over the Midwest. Target says No, we will sell what we want. Well, we consumers who don't want our teen age grandchildren wearing FCUK EWE shirts around the neighborhood will Boycott Target.

I guess so. Maybe that's why we have such a high rate of registered sex offenders and that list is growing daily I'm sure. Because of the blatant use of sexuality in marketing campaigns.

It starts out subtle and harmless, but as with everything it escalates to another level. We can say this is just an ad for Target, which is a family department store, but there should be higher standards. JMHO

Maybe I'm ultra sensitive now due to dealing with a friend who's preteen has found his way to porn on the internet.

They would do a lot more thinking for themselves if they weren't constantly worried about what everyone else was wearing. School uniforms work.

It can be a casual one such as the one for a middle school here. Kids can wear navy, forest green, yellow, khaki, or white pants and matching shirts of the same colors. Or they may interchange the colors. Of course, the girls can also wear skirts of these colors.

Less distraction, less hanky-panky,less noise in the halls. More school work, more courtesy, more congeniality towards other students.

If you aren't a teacher and have not experienced it.......then don't criticize.

I'm sorry, I won't stop shopping at Target. I understand the need to stop the proliferation of bad stuff--I've seen the ads for this line of products, but not in Target.

Target also gives a portion of their proceeds to charities, etc. And they have a great selection of stuff at reasonable prices.

If they start pouring money into the coffers of the Democrat Party or N.O.W., then I might curb my visits there.

The way I am going to discourage this offensive crap is to not buy it. :)

I don't think you're wrong, though. I hope you're successful in convincing Target to cease carrying the crap.

Imagine a society that warns consumers if a product might endanger their children or for that matter adults but that same society sits on their hands when scum bag corporations like Target push FCUK EWE products on their teen agers. Of course we can also talk about Abercrombie and Sex and all the degenerate designers like Versace and Calvin Klein.

You are stating my sentiments exactly. Target does have the right to sell FCUK EWE shirts and perfumes to my grandchildren. But, I as an American with values and standards, ( I live in the Heartland - Minn.) have the right to stand up and call Target on it and try to stop them by letting folks know just how low they will stoop to make a buck. Boycott Target is mild if you ask me. What I'd really like to do to them is illegal.

As one of the people paying the bills, I most certainly will criticize what I see as an objectionable policy. All those effects you describe could also be achieved by drugging all the students. While certain teachers and administrators might support this idea, the drawbacks are clear.

Likewise "uniforms". In my view, they are an example of neo-collectivist regimentation and suppression of individual expression and individual perogatives. Combined with some of the other leftist nonsense going on in the schools, I smell an effort to replace individuality with a "group" identity. It jibes very nicely with the Hillaryesque "village" mentality.

In an era where the business world is becoming less rigid vis a vis "appropriate" attire, it also seems odd to go the opposite direction in the public schools.

You realize I was being sarcastic about the adult uniforms right? I went to a public school which required uniforms, and more than anything else, it taught me to hate socialism.

I wasn't a teacher, I was a student, and I definately have the facts. The uniform code at my high school did one thing and one thing only, and that was make good kids into rulebreakers. The people who caused trouble before we adopted the code still caused just as much trouble, the only difference was that now students who had previously never been in trouble were being hauled into the office because their shirt wasn't tucked in. Teachers wasted huge amounts of class time performing ridiculous "dress code checks" instead of teaching. If people want to live somewhere where people are forced to dress a certain way, I'm sure there is room in Iran or Saudi Arabia. Here in the US, if I tell my kid he can go to school with a grey shirt (not an approved color), there is absolutely no good reason for the school to be able to say otherwise.

My son works at Target part time to help put himself through college.

Our Target DOES NOT sell that product. We are in Lake Jackson, Texas.

We have been to other Targets in the area and we have NEVER seen that product at any of them.

The only people you are punishing with a national boycott of Target are people like my good, sweet, gentle, kind, well mannered, polite, smart, hard working 22 year old son who is trying to get through college by working at Target. His fiance works there too. They want to finish college and get married. They are good, decent, kind to animals and kind to their moms, etc.

Please contact the local store manager and complain, and find out the name and address of the national Target CEO and try to get them to pull the product.

Please do not boycott all Targets! Ours doesn't sell that product. Our Target struggles all year to make a profit. This is a very small town. Our Target gives back 5% of its profits to local charities. And they are always GENEROUS when we go to hit them up for donations to local school charity drives.

Email a Senator over this? That's absurd! This is a local issue if ever there was one.

Rule #1: All politics is local.

Contacting Sen. Dayton directly about this issue is perfectly acceptable and is very likely the most effective approach possible. His election was almost entirely due to the reputation of his family's stores and the profits made from them, and he is still employed at the pleasure of the electorate. He doesn't need this kind of grief and is in a perfect position to make this whole situation go away.
