Because KC, he (ARnold) is the better, stronger, more appealing candidate for most Californians. On issues alone, who do you agree with more, Tom or Arnold?

What good are principles if you throw them away to advance your own selfish agenda.
That is what Arnold is doing. Arnold is supporting the killing of 3000 unborn children every single day. Arnold supports the destruction of the 2nd amendment. Arnold wants Americans to support all the Illegal Aliens that can flood across our borders. just to be gov.

They innoculated Ah-Noldt with all the early dirt.
From now on any more mud they throw will end up on them.
California voters passed their saturation point long ago and want this resolved.
Ah-Noldt has run the cleanest campaign and for once this will pay off.
Warmness and natural humor never hurts, especially when all the others have none whatsoever.

The same as Rudy Giulliani's and an entire host of others.Yes, I suppose voters who are turned on by Rudy gun grabbing will appreciate Aronld's Second Amendment views as well.

I also preferred Bush to Pat Buchanan... OR Alan Keyes.
You?
To: Robert_Paulson2
Arnold. Thank you for your honesty. While I strongly disagree with you, you're one of the few people to whom I've asked this qyuestion that have given me a straight answer. Would you mind expanding on this a bit? Which positions do you agree with Arnold on? Guns? Immigration? Social Programs?

You're clueless and should understand Rudy's appeal, living in Jersey, as you do.
No candidate, no elected offical, not a one of them, is EVER going to be/give you 100% of what you claim to want. It's good enough to get someone who will give you at least SOME of what you want. Otherwise, you'll get exactly N-O-T-H-I-N-G of what you want, which, apparently, makes you happy. Well, misery is NOT what most people revel in and Jesus Christ isn't the world's supreme leader and HE isn't running for elected office in California, or anywhere else at the moment.

Wait till those 2 million Illegals you RINOS love line up to vote SI PARA BUSTAMONTE. Your polls won't help you then, cause Illegal don hav no stinkin phones! Instead of supporting a conservative you RINOS split the conservative vote.
Don't support Arnold and become an accomplice in the killing of 3000 children a day, everyday.

Keyes is even a BIGGER loser than Pat and more irrelivant, driven by ego, and a Bushbasher of the highest order. I used to like him, as did many here; however, he lost the majority of us and others, with his antics after the 2000 election.
You're so faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar off in fringe territory, that you will never, not ever, see your favorite candidates elected.

Only the Supreme Court, or an ammendment to the Constitution, will do away with abortion. Stop blaming Arnold, or anyone else, for the law of the land, that they had NOTHING at all to do with.
Stop using the term RINO, for those who don't agree 100 % with you, when they are, in point of fact Republicans. The terms RINO and neocon, have lost ALL meaning here, due to your and others complete and total misuse of them. Your Orwellian twistings and bendings of these terms are shameless and have, now, consigned them to irrelivance and meangless stature.

None of it dealt with any reality that involves me, but I'm sure you had a good time writing it.
Don't support Arnold and become an accomplice in the killing of 3000 children a day, everyday. Our governor does not set abortion policy. Thanks for the comments.

I cannot improve on the words written by Ray Haynes:
- "He is not afraid to call himself a conservative. Many of my moderate friends refuse to even use the word, because they think it damages them. Schwarzenegger used it at the convention, and used it proudly. That is a good thing. "
- "Anyone who says that "Milton Friedman is right, and Karl Marx is wrong" has the makings of a good conservative, even if he doesn't understand all of the nuances of the political debate. When you begin with the right base, the rest is simply good education. I know, because that is how I began my journey from the left to my current state of conservatism. I started with the right base, and built on it like building on a rock."
- "On the social issues on which we can have an effect, Schwarzenegger is with us. He is for parental notification in abortion, and against partial birth abortion. In the abortion debate in California, that is all we can affect at this time, without a major change in the law, the legislature, and public opinion. He is with us. He is against gay marriage. Domestic partnerships are already in law, and we can't change it until we change the legislature. By that time, we will have the chance to work on him, and show him the wisdom of our position. The same with guns. There is nothing he would do to make things worse than they already are, and nothing he could do to make things any better in our current environment. His base is correct, that is something to build on."
- "On education, he thinks Milton Friedman is right--that being so--he will come to see the wisdom of parental choice."
- "On fiscal and business issues, we have a clear and outspoken friend. Despite what youve read in the papers, he has been quite clear in what he would do to turn the business climate around and he has pledged to end the car tax (See www.joinarnold.com for more specifics.) Comparing all of this with Davis and Bustamante, the question of who to support answers itself. At worst, Schwarzenegger will be benign on the issues we hold dear, and at best, he will be helpful."

You're clueless and should understand Rudy's appeal, living in Jersey, as you do. I concede that Rudy did a tremendous job leading New York after 9-11, but he supported New York City's draconian laws that precvented law abiding people from owning guns. He fails my "litmus test".It's good enough to get someone who will give you at least SOME of what you want. Otherwise, you'll get exactly N-O-T-H-I-N-G of what you want, which, apparently, makes you happy.
You're wrong. olls releaded today indicate that McClintock would have easily beaten Bustamante had Arnold not been in the race. We could have had a great, conservative governor in California. Unfortunately the liberal/moderate wing of the party screwed that up big time.

D-1, I don't know how you've stood up to this McClintock gang for the last few weeks. They have good intentions, I know. And they have real issues with Arnold Schwarzenegger. But, my gosh, can't they see McClintock doesn't have a chance in hades of winning this election? Are they so blinded by their self-rightiousness?
I have followed your posts, and I, personally, am proud of you.

When Alan called bush an "evil" man and a "baby killer" at award ceremonies last election.. lots of freepers were turned off permanently.
Including me.
Alan is a real backer of the McClintock candidacy. As is the extreme Christian Right. Two good reasons to oppose McClintock.
