My brother emails me, and I talked to him once on a satellite phone, he has been back once for some health problems and went back as soon as he could. I want to go visit him there, he's trying to work out the details now. I really want to go over and see these things with my own eyes. I'm so proud of our troops and the job they have done. I'm also proud that President Bush stood tall and did the right thing

Thank God the truth is finally coming out. President Bush has really taken a beating. My late husband was a Vietnam vet and he said the press and the protestors really demoralized the troops.

Thanks for the thread. I was a few minutes late in turning the program so I'd like to see it from the very beginning. I think it repeats around 10:00pm.Pacific time.

What you said. I've never been prouder to be an American. It's just too bad some of our fellow citizens are so blinded by their irrational hatred of the president, based in their still-simmering disappointment that they didn't get "President Gore," that they don't realize the real good we're doing. Hope you get to go over and see for yourself!

I was at the "Washington Fly-In 2003", sponsored by Rep. Mark Foley, this week. Sam Donaldson was one of the speakers. When he was asked "Why doesn't the press report the good news coming out of Iraq; so many good things are happening there." (the questioner was aplauded by the rest of us, BTW), Donaldson said, "Who told you THAT?" Talk about a pompous a--! The next day, Phillip Reeker, Deputy Spokesperson for the Dept. of State; Vic Berson, Senior Advisor to Sec. Donald Rumsfield; and Tom DeLay all told of GOOD things happening in Iraq that "THE PRESS ISN'T REPORTING" (their words).
BTW, FreeRepublic.com and Rush Limbaugh were mentioned by Rep. Foley as being represented. Does anyone know who was there from FreeRepublic?

Rep Jim Marshall (D) is on O'Reilly. He is making the same complaint (and he just returned form Iraq). He is saying that the media typically isn't showing the good that is being accomplished, but they center in on the bad only. He wrote this in an Op Ed in the Atlanta Constitution.

I almost got tears in my eyes when Arnot said he got tears in his after speaking to the 101st troops and their motivation. A repoter who looks at the truth and sees school children cheering us and not slanting everything as a disaster-what a rarity.

I have owned my own business for over 15 years now and for a long time I had little faith in our younger generation because of the trouble I've had with the youngsters I have had work for me.
All of that changed after witnessing the skill and professionalism our young men and women in uniform in Afghanistan and Iraq. These fine young soldiers have made me so proud to be an American and all my doubt's and concerns are gone. People can talk all the shit they want, America is bad ass at everything and our troops have proved it

I read on a usenet newsgroup that his show is being taken off the air because of some conflict of interest he had with an on-air guest that he didn't divulge (Joe himself brought it up later and apologized). He would end up on FNC somewhere.
FNC started this "Good News" reporting first of course.

Loved your tag line. Who would terrorist vote for??? Hmmm...
1. Osama Bin Laden wants the US economy to be hurt. Democrats best election hope is a hurt economy.
2. Osama glories in dead American soldiers and hopes Americans will give up and go home. Democrats and their media pals play up dead soldiers in the press to undermine American's faith in the war effort. Democrats want to quit and go home.
3. Osama hates Bush. Democrats hate Bush.
4. Osama believes the ends justify the means -- so do democrats.
5. Osama believes in pitting social/racial groups against each other for personal gain. Democrats do the same.
6. Many people around Osama die unnatural premature deaths. Many people around prominent democrats die unnatural and premature deaths...

I heard, they can choose between Germany or one City in the North/USA (forgot the name). If they want to fly any where else (like home) they have to pay theirself! Did anybody heard the same? If it's tru, isn't it a shame??!!
