I think the economy will grow nicely and the insurgency in Iraq will be reduced over time. Me too.
I might get the chance soon to actually help in a small way directly on the second part--I'm possibly going to have the opportunity to go over myself, it would seem. Should find out for sure in the next two weeks.

Yawn.

McClintock hands down the best man for the job at hand. HE knows all the players, all the issues and even some of the solutions.
Arnold didn't hurt himself, he was respectable and forceful.
Cruz Bustamente was an allof dud.
Camejo is a one globalization commie.
And Arianna, well I can't wait to see the ditzy redhead on Saturday Night Live this weekend mumbling every minute that Bush did it.
To: WOSG
I think Arnold probably gained a lot of votes slapping her incredible rudeness down with one-liners.
The problem was that while she was being slapped down, she made Bustamante look better. So did Camejo. Both of them should not have been included in the debate at all.

It's no wonder you have a screen name based on your hero MadClintock. Your yawn basically sums up your achievements as well.Would it be possible to program in an "ignore" feature like they have on the Yahoo! message boards?

Gray Davis won this debate.
I think somebody spotted him tonight waiving the white flag
...his last words were "I give up".
To: BlueNgold
McClintock came across as a knee deep been here forever poltician / policy wonk ... it plays well within the pundit circles, but I don't think it plays well in the 'burbs.Competence, principle and knowledge are anathema in the burbs of California?

"We spent too much"
--- Honestly, Cruz has just become my favorite 'Rat. He may be a 'Rat, but he's an honest 'Rat.
Did you EVER hear a 'Rat admit they spent too much?? I can't imagine what 'Rats all over the country are thinking now. One of our own admitted we spent too much? The Horrah!!
You wait and see, Rush and others will be all over this line tomorrow. This reminds me of the suicide squad in "Life of Brian". Cruz just put a gun to the 'Rats temple and pulled the trigger. What an enormous gaffe!
To: Dan from Michigan
The "diss the recall" stuff coming from Arianna and Cruz was bizarre!
If they really felt that way, they would both be out stumping for Davis instead of campaigning/debating. What a pair of self-absorbed egotists...
To: kingu
And next time CBA does this debate format, I'm suggesting that they give the moderator a couple of clubs and able to cut mikes. I think they need to borrow the mute buttons from ESPN's 'Around the Horn'.

McClintock stayed on subject, took some shots at Cruz and Davis, and said nothing negative about Arnold. He'd been an attack dog towards Arnold earlier. Something is up. McClintock came across as a class act to me and would be the governor this state needs. But something is up.
Perhaps Tom's just trying to stomp down some of his negative numbers. A lot of people were put off by his joining with Bustamante to protest the debate, as well as the Indian money.
Perhaps the fix is in.. All I do know is that he seriously impressed the crowd I was with.

You have your opinion of his performance, I have mine. I expected more passion for the issues, he didn't give me what I had hoped for.

The problem was that while she was being slapped down, she made Bustamante look better. So did Camejo. Bingo. There was a quiet dignity to BustaMechaman. While he did not inspire, he did not offend either.

I know. I understand. I'm just glad that everyone for the most part kept it civil tonight and we all had a little fun at Arianna's expense. :-)

Would it be possible to program in an "ignore" feature like they have on the Yahoo! message boards? I have to agree here, when you have people so sensitive and vulnerable about their favorite lifetime politician, they should be sheltered from negative comments.

"I really saw something there. Kind of working with Arnold not against him. Something is up. But I think the recall will fail. After Clinton flew in the fix was in.
