We're at Landmark in Alexandria, VA and had been without water until about 10PM..(.Fairfax County segment of Alexandria). We are filtering the tap water and plan on heeding the conservation advisory. Water looks brown anyway.

Our small area is remarkable in that we have electricity and nothing upsetting to report other than the inconvenience of water being unavailable for the day.

I know of no one here who uses the tap for drinking so everyone had plenty for cooking and drinking, etc. Can you tell that we feel blessed? And thankful.

Son in Prince William lost nothing at all even in their woods. Said we were welcome to come take showers! They were closer to the eye than we are in Alexandria so that was a welcomed relief.

Have you heard any reports about the Centreville/Chantilly area? We haven't heard from our daughter since just before 11:00 last night ..... she sent an email but even then she couldn't call because the phones were out. Apparently she lost power soon after sending the email. At this point we are assuming that no news is good news and she's ok but out of communication.
