The ACLU argued that blacks and Hispanics are not as smart as regular white folk. The Court agreed.
You just stick the thinge in the right hole... how hard is that?

Does anyone have a sense of whether the US Supremes will grant emergency certiorari in this case? Recall they turned down an appeal of the NJ Supremes.

Clinton had to have known. Two of the judges on the 9th circuit panel (Paez and Thomas) are his appointees. The third judge was Pregerson (a Carter appointee).

Curious timing on this decision. One day after the big Davis-Clinton minority kiss fest! That was my first thought. If you listened to Clinton's speech in Iowa the other day it was all about the Florida elections. For the last two days they've been playing the disenfranchisement card.

Well, homos don't seem to get that right.

Insider polls were done showing what most of the American Public knew. A Republican (even if in name only) would gain control of one of the largest states in the union, specifically one with one of the largest democratic party monetary and media supporting populations.
The power-hungry,lust-driven win at all costs attitude showed itself in Bill Clinton's appearance in California to support Gray Davis.
Makes one wonder what they will try next, if this fails?

These machines were good enough in the last election...why not good enough now.

Good point. I was wondering why he was here with his Kiss of Death reputation to candidates. However, he was literally SHAMING the congregants, with a pandering, Johnny Cochran-like "sermon," yesterday.

this is good for all. The "we're not gonna take it" anthem just struck an even deeper chord now that the rats'court wants to block the citizens' will.
If you listen to George Will, tho, you might actually hope they cancel it altogether. If would be ideal to have california seething in anger over Davis during the 2004 election season rather than having them just amused over the replacement or worse, slipping back into normalcy after a bustamonte triumph and hispanic giveaway raft.
I hope this just blows up in their faces - I don't care whose, so long as it helps the republicans.
System too overloaded to read all comments at this time, but I'll ask anyway
WHEN DO WE FREEP?!?!?

There will be good that will come of this...too many people have too much invested in this election. The light of truth will be shown on this bogus court and maybe, just maybe minorities will see just what liberals think of them. It's so insulting that it's almost funny. Plus, we can argue that if this is the case, the last election should be overturned also. This will be overturned, but the damage to the left will be done.
