What's your IQ? Take the test and find out! It's fun to take, but think it through.

"IQ from taking the test -- 130, IQ for submitting personal info: 115, IQ for giving an email address to spam: 90, IQ for sending money: 75."

I never give genuine personal info to these sites, and the e-mail addy is for a junk account where I expect spam. No problem.

I'm not going to lower your score for all those pencil marks on your screen --- but it's coming down for all the white-out you used.

You didn't need to guess --- you could have just gotten into your car, driven down the highway 6 miles, turned left for 8 miles, then driven back to the starting point --- watching your odometer and timesing the result by 2. Or continuing down the highway in the other direction for 6 miles, then left 8 miles and then watch the odometer again and adding that into the first reading.

From your google search -

20. In a race from point X to point Y and back, Jack averages 30 miles per hour to point Y and 10 miles per hour back to point X. Sandy averages 20 miles per hour in both directions. Between Jack and Sandy, who finished first?

Answer: sandy

Explanation: jack only catches up at the end

Huh? If Jack catches up at the end then don't they tie? They both average 20 mph and go the same distance.

27. Which one of these five things is least like the other four?

answer: grape

explanation: this was a horrible question with multiple answers that made sense.

I chose coconut because I thought (?) a coconut was a seed whereas the others have seeds inside. I don't understand why it's grape. Anyone have a better explaination?

I took this a few weeks ago. Mine was 122 and also said I was a Visionary Philosopher. It always makes me sick that my husband scores 150 or higher on these. He said when he was a kid he was tested to be moved up in school. They said he was a genius at the time. He says he was only a genius compared to those giving the test.

I chose coconut because it is the only one with a hard shell you have to use a hammer on to eat.

If I remember right, it requires personal information before you can get results. So, I question the IQ of anyone who is reporting theirs.

But you see, you have to be smarter than the test. Lie.

I had the same thoughts on the race. Regarding the grape, it's the only one growing on a vine. I initially thought the coconut was the exception, as it lacks soft fleshy interior w/seeds. That seemed too subtle for this test, so I looked for a more obvious distinction and went for the vine/tree. Guessed right.

That's fine if you have another email address to have the results sent to. But, just recognize, these turkeys are much more interested in scabbing you than giving you a valid IQ test.

If the maximum score is 144, it's not a standard IQ test. The Stanford-Binet IQ test can theoretically go up above 200.

A site selling IQ info and everyone just happens to be a borderline genius, what a surprise.

DING DING DING! We have a winner! If the top score is 144, this is not a standard IQ test. It's just something EMode ginned up (apparently to supplement their personal ads service, judging from their front page).

I was real proud of my 118 score, until I began to read the scores of others. (sigh) Seems I just barely made the human race.

Try Ed's test at www.iqtest.com

I think it's geared to cover a wider range than the emode test. I scored 149 on emode.

If you'd like to take a geography quiz that doesn't require personal info:
