I didn't watch the interview, I just posted the title and link to a thread that seemed to contradict this one. I was waiting to see if someone would explaining the discrepancy.

McClintock uses the term "social issues" because he doesn't want to offend any more voters than he can help. But it's clear enough what he means.
Arnold is fervently in favor of killing babies.
Arnold would support the march of gay rights and probably cave on such issues as gay marriage.
In addition, as McClintock says more explicitly, Arnold would cave on raising taxes.
The Republican pros have put forward a whole series of RINO losers in California, and they continue to drive away their own voting base. Maybe they should look at the last election, where the pro-life position was a winner in almost all the races. Arnold won't draw a single pro-abortion vote with his pro-abortion position, because these folks always vote Democrat no matter what.

What the Schwarzenschmucks don't understand is that even if McClintock drops out of the race his supporters will NEVER vote for Ah-nold.
Schwarzenegger should stick to acting.

You obviouisly don't know a thing about the electorate of California!
Since when does the person leading the polls including Bustamante drop out so a person in 3rd place can win?
Glad you are not coaching our football team!

Bottom line is this. NOBODY is entitled to a vote.
If Cruz wins, it's not because so and so didn't drop out. It's because Arnold or TomM couldn't get the other votes. Instead of Ahnold's backers whining about Tom, maybe they need to go out and tell Arnold's crew to earn the backing of McClintock backers by supporting the right policies.
And on the same note McClintock should be getting his word out as well. Arnold is not ENTITLED to the votes of the other backers, and neither is McClintock for that matter.
This sense of entitlement is ridiculous.

I will be glad when this stupid election is over and we can go back to bashing Hillary. Shucks, I don't know why we are even having it, should just let the polls decide.

"A real leader doesn't hand the office he hoped to win to the enemy if it lookes like he cant win it for himself after all."
I guess it is okay now, if he's a "real conservative."
All those sayings of Reagan a few years ago have been superceded by the new, more brilliant "real conservatives" in California. (Running up quite a string of consecutive conservative losses, in the meantime?)

And what if, hypothetically, you unnestan, he had been hired by the RATS to do this?! A sleeper RAT, in other words.

"But McClintock told Fox News he doesn't need Schwarzenegger to pursue these changes and said Schwarzenegger's most popular budget ideas where his in the first place"
Bwahahahahahaha
My toys and you can't play with them.
As if no one has ever thought of these basic conservative ideas. What a load.

Ok, I'll throw something out for comment that I noticed yesterday following Ueberroth's drop from the election.
The lamestream news was saying that McClintock should likewise drop out, otherwise he would be Arnold's spoiler, thus causing BustaMEChA to be elected.
Now, we all know that the lamestream media is controlled by the Left, particularly in California where it is the official propaganda machine of the Demoncratic Party. So why would they be wringing their hands over McClintock spoiling Schwarzenegger's campaign and BustaMEChA winning?
Question to Arnold supporters: is the light coming on yet?
This is the CA Demoncrat machine trying to select the candidate they want to face in the recall (just like the Dems did in the last election). McClintock has a real message, has real solutions, and has real experience. I also doubt that the Dems have any dirt they can use to smear McClintock (which is the Dems favorite campaign tactic). On the other hand, the Dems know that Schwarzenegger is just riding on his star power. He may be popular in the polls due to his name recognition, but will that be enough to energize people to go to the polls and vote for him? I suspect not. Furthermore, it is obvious that the Dem dirt machine is going to unload heaps of crap on Schwarzenegger late in the campaign (after getting McClintock to drop out, if they can) to further suppress Arnold's poll popularity.

I heard McQuixote on Hannity's radio show and, while I agree with him on many issues, he really turned me off. He sounded like every other politician and couldn't bring himself to remember Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment: Thou Shalt Not Speak Ill of Another Republican.
I did not like what I heard. Too arrogant, to much Me Me Me. All he's going to do is ensure MeChA MeChA MeCha.
I'm a native Californian. As much as I agree with the conservative positions, his tone is just unelectable in California. Folks, the moderates will never vote for him, and you just can't win in California without the independent 'moderate' vote. That's been true since the early 1960's and it's what killed Knowland in '58 against Pat Brown, Nixon in '62 against Pat Brown, worked for Reagan in '66 and '70, for Junior Brown in '74 and '78, etc., on through Davis last year.
Doesn't anyone on FR have any perspective on California politics over the past 50 years? The lack of understanding is amazing. Conservatives in California have been shooting themselves in their feet for decades. And Tom McQuixote is just the latest one. Sad.

And, you write like a school girl. Perhaps you shouldn't post, to avoid the embarrassment
And perhaps you should be abashed to attack the style rather than substance of a post. Irrespective (or, for the heck of it, Irregardless) of the poster's point (which is valid), at last he/she is making a cogent and identifiable point.
Ad hominim attacks, in the absence of hyperbole, are the last refuge of the mindless scoundrel.
I've seen your posts before, Sink. This is really beneath you.

What the Schwarzenschmucks don't understand is that even if McClintock drops out of the race his supporters will NEVER vote for Ah-nold. Thanks for posting that information. You have just confirmed what Arnold supporters have been saying -- if McClintock drops out, his supporters will stay home and not vote so in effect you are all about electing Cruz.
Thanks for confirming what we have been saying! Next time you all want to call yourselves "True" Republicans forget it -- "True" Republicans support other Republicans not take their ball and go home when they don't win!

Are you the one and only Paul Gilcrist? Did you by any chance have an infamous and notorious career landing fast noisy machines on boats, not to mention going into battle in the best fighter ever built? If so, then welcome aboard. {Welcome aboard anyhow.} And semper fi.

Ahnold cannot debate...because English is a second language to him... and everybody knows it.....His inability to speak (apart from a well rehearsed script) would be his downfall among more skillfull english speakers...he would appear foolish.. Couldn't appear any more foolish than the chopped up, grammatically incoherent excuse for a post we see above.
I saw Arnold on O'Reilly tonight and thought he got his message across rather well.
