See, i didn't know that (the Italy and Holland part), and I FOLLOW the good news. What about those who don't know, too lazy to seek it out? What is wrong with our country? Well, at least 30-40% of it? Why don't they like America

You've got to wonder how many people are in the same boat you're in, where the lib media just drowns out any productive-Iraqi news... You've been following it closely and didn't know this... Surely the typical Joe won't know about it...

Southack- any thoughts on how the Reps are going to get this message out, challenge the Dims, and let America know that this truly is an international effort, that France's and Germany's reticene to get involved doesn't disqualify it from being international?

I wish someone would come out everytime all the negative nannies start rabble rousing and call them on it! Oh wait, then it would be a full time job.

Because of Ragtime Cowgirl's Unapologetically Pro-Coalition News posts and pings, I've started a weekly email newsletter of good news. Its all I can do for this problem. Well, that, and the Rally for America I had in March, and I'm putting together a drive at work to gather things to send to our guys in Iraq. But that's it. Until I can think of something else.

People would feel much better if they would find something to do to help. The public backing of WWII should be an inspiration to us all. This War on Terror will be long, and require sacrifices, ultimate ones and small ones. But we are all in it together as Americans.

Why fight it? Even without knowing that fact, more than 70% of Americans support our involvement in Iraq.

You see, what's going on in the media is that the liberals are confusing their ability to spin and cover up facts with the ability to change widespread public opinion. Rather than admit that most Americans feel a certain way, the leftists are trying to change most Americans.

It won't work.

But it does get the media and other leftists wrapped up in various lies that will come back to haunt them later.

For instance, the media is now firmly associated with their "quagmire" rants of March 2003, making the entire press corps the butt of countless jokes by Joe Average and Joe Sixpack throughout America. Ditto for their claims of Bush being a "cokehead" and "drunkard" as well as their rants about Bush not knowing how to handle foreign policy.

Right now the press wants to pretend that there is no international consensus and no international coalition in Iraq, even though the clear facts are that Polish and British troops are there on the ground with us. Eventually those plain facts are going to get through to mainstream Americans, especially since America on the whole is overwhelmingly in favor of what we are doing in Iraq.

And that leaves the leftists stuck with being associated with yet another wrongheaded claim of theirs. The longer it takes for the truth to get out, the more damage will eventually be done to said Democrats, too.

In short, there are times when you just let your opponents continue to dig their holes deeper.

Consider how it would look to middle America if it turns out that Polish troops capture Saddam Hussein in Iraq, while Australian troops capture Osam or Mullah Omar in Afghanistan. The media will be squirming tryuing to explain how there is no such "international" coalition at that point.

Basically, the Left is so desperate right now that it is willing to engage in absurd lies for the most temporal of tiny gains for their side.

So be it. Lets give them some more rope.

Exactly... As well-informed as we here are, we mustn't forget that the liberally biased alphabet networks still have a stranglehold on the information received by most of Americans...
