Come one, come all -- comment on this year's freak show. It began with three sluts on stage in their underwear.

Had a friend way back in the mid-80's in a cover band called "Saran Saran Wrap Wrap".

Did you see Justin Timberlakes reaction after the opening number..not good!

Look at the blond guy jumping...his shoes. They're...weird. Those are the infamous "Light Loafers".
BTW CC, did you enjoy your Rocco? ;-)

Did you see Justin Timberlakes reaction after the opening number..not good!Oh I was going to ask if anyone else saw the 'crowd shots' too. Justin looked as disgusted as the rest of us. Mary J. was horrified, and I think that when Snoop Doggy Dogg is laughing at your ridiculousness, you have to take a step back and ask what you're doing.

The envelope has been pushed so much on cable--what's left?

I don't think a normal woman wants to tongue kiss other women. That's my statement. I also don't think it's normal for a woman to want to go out looking like this, being essentially pimped by her own husband. I wouldn't want to be married to a guy who'd think it's peachy that I go out half clothed.
Someone will tell me these are just cartoon-character Barbie-doll personalities on parade, but we each only get one life.

Once I was having a conversation regarding B&B with my cousin and her son. She hated it and I commented to her, that B&B was pretty much how 14 year old boys acted and thought.
Her son (around 14 at the time)agreed with me.
It scared her to death !! (LOL)
I would rather watch Beavis And Butthead reruns that anything that skank Madonna could ever do. (Other that committing suicide on live TV. I would watch that !!)
Just another bit of proof that Britney is a has been. It's sad to be washed up at her age. I hope she saved her money !!

Beavis and Butthead was brilliant.
Offbeat but brilliant.
My best friend, a C.P.A. and corporate director of finance in his 50's, would watch Beavis and Butthead and laugh out loud !!

In the immortal words of B&B, "last night's show sucked worse than anything that has ever sucked before."

Speaking of Britney as a has-been, I was just perusing around the 'net and landed at rollingstone.com. They have a cover story about Hilary Duff entitled, "The New Britney." How's that for proof?

The envelope has been pushed so much on cable--what's left? Well I was thinking last night that Avril and others had better get with the program and start stripping, because that seems to be the future of the video biz. Other than that, let's see. There could be a further push into debauchery, like X-rated pornographic videos (oh wait, Madonna did that already). There's casting porn stars in videos (but that's been done too). There's saying swear-words out loud (South Park last year). I guess the f-word is still up for grabs. Full frontal male nudity? Actual sex acts on stage, not just the simulated freak dancing kind?
I suppose someone could do a real 180-degree turn and actually stick to principles and proper dress and a wholesome life. That would be the most shocking thing to do.

From mtv.com:
NEW YORK On the night of MTV's 20th Video Music Awards, we are reminded that the more fashions change, the more they stay the same.
The show's opening number was a reenactment of Madonna's notorious 1984 "Like a Virgin" performance, featuring Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in tarty bride outfits, rolling on the floor, while Madonna arose from the wedding cake as the groom, dressed in all black, tall boots and a top hat. After Madonna gave Britney and X-tina each a kiss on the mouth (see "Madonna Smooches With Britney And Christina; Justin, Coldplay Win Big At VMAs"), Missy Elliott came out in a tuxedo with tails and a sequined baseball hat.
First of all, the inaugural VMA's were in 1984, I thought. So doesn't that mean this is the 19th?
Second of all, why is MTV referring to Aguilera as "X-tina?"

Like "X-mas"...they think it's clever, I suppose.
To: lainie
At least she's more clothed than half the people there.
To: lainie
Christina has been referring to herself like that lately
