Update. Prayers were answered.
Ernest's beloved wife Kathy passed away peacefully yesterday,
~ ''leaving a host of friends, family and her beloved grandchildren.''
"O beautiful, helpful, noble life,
Thy battle is over; thy victory won.
Sweet be thy sleep, away from earth's strife,
Then glorious awakening to hear His 'Well done'."

Thank you. Prayers are of course welcome.Y

THE SHIP OF LIFE
by John T. Baker
Along the shore I spy a ship As she sets out to sea; She spreads her sails and sniffs the breeze And slips away from me.
I watch her fading image shrink, As she moves on and on, Until at last shes but a speck, Then someone says, Shes gone. Gone where? Gone only from our sight And from our farewell cries; That ship will somewhere reappear To other eager eyes.
Beyond the dim horizons rim Resound the welcome drums, And while were crying, There she goes! Theyre shouting, Here she comes!
Were built to cruise for but a while Upon this trackless sea Until one day we sail away Into infinity.

In the Sweet By and By
Words: Sanford F. Bennett, 1868.
Music: Joseph P. Webster, 1868.
Theres a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blessed;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

Indian Prayer
O Great Spirit ...
Whose voice I hear in the wind and ...
whose breath gives life to all the world ---
Hear Me !
I come to you as one of your many children .
I am small and weak ... I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset .
Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice .
Make me wise so that I may know the things you have taught my children .
Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock .
I seek strength not to be greater than my brothers but to be able to fight my greatest enemy --- myself .
Make me ever ready to come to you with clean hands ... so that when life fades ---
as the fading sunset ... my spirit may come to you without shame .

PRAYER bump
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
Praise God Ernest.
Blessed be The Name of The Lord.
I had a strong sense when I posted that prayer that God was going to answer it within a few days but I was chicken to say so.
Am blessed at her relief.
Sad for your loss.
Now the sorting through, picking up the pieces and finding the new paths for each of you; for each of the remaining relationships . . . soaking in The Lord in quiet times; Growing in Trusting His provision; sorting out where God is leading each of you . . . plenty reason for continued prayer.
Am just so relieved she's out of the excruciating pain.
And jealous she didn't take me with her.
God's best to each of you.
LUB,
