I'm glad to see McClintock quoting polls as a reason to be in the race. Gives one hope he will continue looking at them and draw the appropriate conclusion at the appropriate time to stop making feeble jokes about getting endorsements from those running ahead of him and instead get out of the race - after, of course, he has made his precious "look at me, I'm principled unlike all you other scalawags" message that California Republicans make every election cycle without affecting things one iota.

About sums it up. As California slides into ruin, the True Believers will have the dubious thrill of knowing that their cherished principles are intact.
