I'm crying on the inside.
Honestly, every time I read about someone like this guy or Jeffery Dahlmer getting murdered in prison, I think I have a great idea.
Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out.
Goodbye prison population problem.

So murderers will have their sentence reduced by killing non-violent offenders in jail for tax fraud or marijuana cultivation, and be back on the streets sooner based on their proficiency at murdering?
That isn't "tough on crime."
It's STUPID!

Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out. Ooh, and another idea: let's put in pay per view cameras so sick jackasses like yourself could get off on watching the bloddy mayhem. Yeah, every single one of them deserves to die!!!!! Oh, and maybe a couple of extra months off if the killing is particularly brutal and drawn out, whaddya think?

Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out. Let me make sure I have this right...If I have a 3 year sentence for manslaughter, I need only murder three more people and actually be released to society SOONER?!? What a deal!

Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out. So you condone the death penalty for lesser crimes like say...auto theft or drug posession?
You're a little too angry there Clamby.

Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out. Ok. So the absolute worse criminals get released back into society the soonest.
Brilliant.

While your proposal may have some problems, I think there is a realistic scenario prisons could incorporate. Set up a special room where any inmate reqesting suicide could go do it cleanly and painlessly.
I have a hard time working up any sympathy for this scumbag Priest. I agree the State should have dispatched him instead of another inmate, however.

"Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out."Solicitation of murder? I have a better idea. Seal their records and send them all to Mexico. Any man who leaves that country will have an automatic dead-only bounty on him. Mexico has sent us their trash. Let's send them some of ours.

Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out. And lets see how you feel if you get falsely convicted by being in the wrong place at the wrong time and somebody kills you.
I have a judge that wants to throw me in jail for a month for a very minor probation violation (shoplifting) FROM 18 YEARS AGO. The judge wants to protect the "integrity" of the court (yeah right). The new computer system just "found" this apparent violation. Most large stores dont even prosecute shoplifting anymore because it is too much of a hassle (they ban you from the store). Should I be killed?
Youre a barbarian.

Your plan would be a problem once the first drug posession inmate serving 18 months gets murdered...oh wait, too late.

Let's reduce the sentences of any inmate who kills another inmate by four months for every inmate they take out."Your idea is similar to George Carlin's idea of creating giant fenced off open air prisons connected by gates. Each prison would contain a particular type of criminal. There would be cameras by the gates, and the gates would be opened by remote control for a couple of hours each week and the melee that ensued would be caught on the cameras and broadcast live on pay-per-view.
